There is a discussion about the Venue of the final of IPL 2025. In the beginning of the IPL, the final was that the final would be held at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. However, after the IPL suspended after Indo-Pak tension, it is no longer decided in which ground the final will be. In such a situation, now former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly has replied whether the final will be already in the Eden Gardens.
Ganguly said that “We are trying. Negotiations are going on with BCCI. It is not so easy to remove the final from here.” The IPL 2025 was canceled for a week since Indo-Pak tension.
After this, a new schedule of remaining matches was released. Only the venue of league matches was told by the BCCI. While the venue has not yet been dissected for the playoffs and finals.
The remaining league matches of IPL 2025 were decided to hold in Bengaluru, Lucknow, Jaipur, Delhi, Ahmedabad and Mumbai. Since then, questions were being raised whether the final of this season will be in the Eden Gardens in Kolkata or not?
When Ganguly was asked why Kolkata was not named in Venue for the remaining matches, he said that KKR had played all 7 home games, because of this, the field was not named, if their matches were left, then the name of Eden Gardens would have been done.
Let us know that since the IPL is suspended, it has started again on Saturday. The league matches of this season will be played by 27 May. After this, qualifiers 1 and eliminator will be played on May 29 on May 29. While the qualifier will be 2 on 1 June. The final match will be held on 3 June.
