Sourav Ganguly has broken the silence on the No-Handshek controversy, which is in the race for the post of President of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) .. Last Sunday Team India defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets, but the Indian players went to the dressing room without joining hands with Pakistan team. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also filed a complaint in this case, a match against the referee Andy Paiyoft and against an Indian team.
Sourav Ganguly said at an event held in Kolkata, “You should ask the captain (Suryakumar Yadav) what he did and why he did. I have no relation far and wide. I have no need to answer this question.”
No India-Pakistan collision
In this program, Sourav Ganguly said that only after the first 15 overs of the India-Pakistan match, he started changing the channel and watching football. He said, “Pakistan is not in our competition and I say this with respect. I can tell the team that there is no quality in it. The Indian team was playing without Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.”
Ganguly further said that Team India levels are very high from the rest of the Asia Cup teams. There will be a few days when Team India will get defeat, but on most occasions it will win. Ganguly said, “I was not surprised by the result of the match. I actually stopped watching the match after the first 15 overs and started changing the channel to watch the match of Manchester City and Manchester United. Because now there is no such thing as competition in India and Pakistan matches.”
