India vs South Africa 3rd ODI is being played in Visakhapatnam, which is the deciding match of the 3 match series. Before this, South Africa got a big shock, Tony de Jorzi and Nandre Berger are not playing this match. Not only this, two big players of the visiting team including Jorji have been ruled out of the entire T20 series of 5 matches.

The first two matches of the India vs South Africa ODI series have been competitive. The first match was won by India and the second match by the visiting team, now the series is equal and the team which wins the third match today will win the series. The exit of Jorji and Berger is a big blow for Temba Bavuma and the team. Jorji, who had scored 39 runs in the first match and 17 not out in the second, was out due to a hamstring injury.

30-year-old Nandre Berger took 2 wickets in Ranchi ODI and 1 wicket in Raipur, he was the main bowler of the visiting team who is not playing the decider match. There was also a change in India’s playing 11 in the third ODI, Tilak Verma has been included in place of Washington Sundar.

The South African Cricket Board said in its statement, “Burger suffered a hamstring injury while bowling during the second ODI on Wednesday, and De Zorzi suffered pain in the right hamstring area while batting and was unable to continue batting. Both players underwent scans on Friday which revealed the severity of their injuries.”

Mafaka and Tony De Jorzi out of T20 series

Tony De Jorji has been ruled out of not only the third ODI but also the India vs South Africa 5-match T20 series due to a hamstring injury. 19-year-old young bowler Kwena Mafaka has also been ruled out of the entire T20 series.
