Several crore passengers travel by train every day in the country, for which Railways operates thousands of trains. In such a situation, even a small change on any route can affect the plans of millions of passengers. Now, due to platform upgradation work at Puri station, the movement of trains has been affected. This work is going on under East Coast Railway. Which has affected some trains of South East Central Railway.
According to information received from Railways, three trains will be canceled till May. Whereas some trains have been short terminated or short originated in this interval. That means these trains will not run on their entire route. Passengers who have booked tickets in these trains. It is important for them to check the status before travelling. So that last minute problems can be avoided.
These three trains were canceled
- Train No. 02839 Shalimar-Puri Special train will be canceled on 15th, 22nd and 29th in the month of March, 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th in the month of April and 3rd and 10th in the month of May.
- Train number 02840 Puri-Shalimar special train will be canceled on 16th, 23rd and 30th in the month of March. There will be cancellation on 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th of April. So there will be cancellation on 4th and 11th of May.
- Train No. 08012 Puri-Bhanjpur Special and Train No. 08011 Bhanjpur-Puri Special will also remain canceled for different days in these months.
These trains will have short termination and short origination
Train No. 22201 Sealdah-Puri Duronto Express will be short terminated on 16, 18, 20, 23, 25, 27, 30 in March. So, short terminated and short originated for April 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 27 and 29. So in May, trains will be short terminated at Sakshi Gopal station on 1st, 4th, 6th, 8th, 11th, 13th and 15th.
Train No. 12837 Howrah-Puri Express will be short terminated till Maltipatpur station from 15th March to 15th May. So on these dates the train will originate from here.
Departure/arrival of these trains were changed
Changes have been made in the routes of these trains. Now it will not go to its scheduled destination and some trains will start or end from the changed station. Be sure to check the new departure and arrival point before travelling.

- Train No. 168441 Jaleshwar-Puri MEMU
- Train No. 168442 Puri-Jaleshwar MEMU
