Delhi minister met korean delegation: In order to empower the Delhi government’s clean and green development strategy with global technical cooperation, Delhi’s Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa today met the delegation of South Korea’s organization Korea Environmental Industry Association/Keia.

South Korean delegation discusses many issues with Delhi government

During the meeting, Delhi Government Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa and South Korean delegation made extensive discussions on topics like Hydrogen Mobility, Smart Pollution Monitoring, Appealing, Circular Economy and air quality improvement. With this, the Korean delegation, along with the Delhi government, expressed his desire to run pilot projects, technical cooperation and public awareness programs, which is possible under Korea’s Overseas Development Assistance (ODA) scheme.

Delhi government minister gave information after meeting

After the meeting, Delhi government minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa informed that the Delhi government is implementing the environmental action plan keeping in mind the need of the future. In such a situation, this cooperation with South Korea will empower the government’s efforts with global experience and technology.

Delegation discussed Korea -India Environmental Innovation Forum

The Korean delegation included Park Jicong Wook, Deputy Director of the Global Green Project Team, Choi Jeena of Keia and Im Su Hun of Planning and Co-ordination Team. The meeting with this also discussed the possibility of organizing the Korea -India Environmental Innovation Forum, which aims to bring technical experts, urban institutions and policy makers of both countries on a common platform.

The delegation praised many schemes of Delhi government

The KEIA representatives praised the Delhi government like e-waste management, pollution control at construction sites, anti-somog guns and mist-sprinkler and expressed their commitment to industrial partnership with Delhi, which could not only improve Delhi’s air quality, but will be an important step in international cooperation for industrial pollution control, research cooperation and hydropower change.
