Lok Sabha member from Faizabad and senior Samajwadi Party leader Awadhesh Prasad went to Ram Lala temple with his family on Saturday (29 November) evening and performed special prayers. He entered the temple premises at around 7.00 pm and stayed in the temple premises including the sanctum sanctorum for about 40 minutes. The Samajwadi Party MP along with his family offered prayers in front of Ram Lala and Ram Darbar.
After the puja at the Ram temple, SP MP Awadhesh Prasad said, ‘The darshan of Ram Lala gives a wonderful spiritual experience. Lord Shri Ram is a symbol of truth, dignity and harmony and true devotion is to maintain love and brotherhood in the society. There should be a spirit of service, not politics, in the development of Ayodhya. After this he left the temple premises with his family.
SP MP Awadhesh Prasad defeated Lallu Singh
SP MP Awadhesh Prasad had defeated Lallu Singh, a two-time BJP MP and associated with the temple movement, in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. SP MP Awadhesh Prasad had on Tuesday (November 25) alleged that he was not invited to the religious flag installation ceremony held at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya because he is a Dalit.

SP MP Awadhesh Prasad had said in a post on the “X” account on Tuesday, “The reason for me not being invited to the religious flag installation program in Ramlala’s court is because I belong to the Dalit community, so this is not the dignity of Ram, but an introduction to someone else’s narrow mindedness.” Ram belongs to everyone, my fight is not for any post or invitation, but for respect, equality and dignity of the Constitution.
