What did ST Hasan say on the use of loudspeaker during Iftar?
Samajwadi Party leader ST Hasan has given his reaction to SP MLA Kamal Akhtar’s demand to use loudspeakers during Iftar and Sehri in the Assembly. He said, “See, this is absolutely correct. This is not a matter of relaxation, this tradition has been going on. It is not a bit of today, it is a tradition of 1500 years. Earlier, when there were no loudspeakers, announcements were made, people used to come out carrying drums.”
He further said, “Before Sehri, we used to roam in the streets and say that it is time for Sehri. Even at the time of Iftar, they used to release shells and crackers when it was time for Iftar. Now announcements are made through loudspeakers.”
