Speaking against ISI-PAK Army proved costly! Khyber Pakhtunkhwa CM snatches chair; Imran Khan made Sohail Afridi the new Chief Minister

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur was removed from the post by jailed Imran Khan on Wednesday (October 08, 2025), two months after the nexus of Pakistan Army and intelligence agency ISI with terrorists was publicly exposed. Now, in place of Ali Amin Gandapur, Imran Khan has appointed Sohail Afridi as the new Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, who has reached the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly for the first time by becoming an MLA in 2024.

In a press conference in July on the ongoing terrorist activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the then Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin, had told that when his police had launched a campaign to free the area from terrorism by capturing Tehreek-e-Taliban terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, then Pakistani intelligence agency ISI and Army’s intelligence agency Military Intelligence had arrested these terrorists. Gave information after freeing the terrorists.

Organizations angry with Ali Amin’s statement

Ali Amin told, he had said that the terrorists who were caught by the police were actually terrorists nurtured by ISI and Military Intelligence and ISI and Military Intelligence had informed that they use these terrorists.

After this statement of Ali Amin Gandapur, Pakistan Army and intelligence agency ISI were criticized everywhere on the matter of nurturing terrorists and both these institutions running Pakistan were also angry with Ali Amin Gandapur.

Ali Amin accused of meeting ISI

After that, information came that Ali Amin Gandapur’s relations with the Army and ISI had improved, due to which Gandapur did not say anything against the Army and ISI when more than 30 people were killed in the Pakistani airstrike in Tirah Valley of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Besides, many exiled leaders of PTI had also accused Ali Amin Gandapur of leaving Imran Khan and joining hands with the army and ISI.

Information about Imran Khan’s decision to remove Ali Amin Gandapur and make Sohail Afridi the Chief Minister has also been shared by Imran Khan’s party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on its official ‘X’ account, after which Ali Amin Gandapur had also posted on his Facebook account accepting Imran Khan’s decision, which has currently been deleted by Ali Amin Gandapur. After this, the market of discussion has again become hot in the politics of Pakistan.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is no less than an operational base of terrorism.

For the Pakistani Army and intelligence agency ISI, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province is currently no less than an operational base for terrorism against India. Only last month, strong evidence has been found that after the destruction of terror camps in Operation Sindoor, Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed and Hizbul Mujahideen are shifting their training camps to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with the help of Pakistani Army and intelligence agencies. In such a situation, it remains to be seen which direction politics will take in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
