The objective behind this arrangement is to ensure easy and convenient darshan for the women coming for darshan at the revered temple of Lord Vishwanath. Under this special facility, all women, whether residents of Varanasi or coming from other parts of the country, will be allowed to enter the temple without any ticket or fee.
This initiative has been started on the special occasion of International Women’s Day to honor them and recognize the importance of divine women power.
Mothers with children will be given priority
On the occasion of Women’s Day, priority will be given for darshan to those women who have small children in their lap. Mothers coming with small children, whether boys or girls, will be given entry on priority basis.
Timings of local trains will remain the same for now
The darshan timings reserved for local residents in Kashi Vishwanath temple are going to remain the same as before. The timings of 4 am to 5 am and 4 pm to 5 pm have been fixed for local people only. In which no changes have been made.
During these times, the special darshan system already in place for the local people is going to remain the same.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, special arrangements have been made for women devotees with these reserved timings. Women will be able to have darshan easily by getting entry from gate number 4-B.
This order has been issued by Vishwa Bhushan, Chief Executive Officer of the temple administration, on March 6, 2026.
