A special session of Madhya Pradesh Assembly will be organized today i.e. 17th December, the main objective of which is to have a comprehensive discussion on developed, self-reliant and prosperous Madhya Pradesh. Narendra Singh Tomar said that this session will prove to be very useful in the direction of the development of the state.

This special session has been called on the occasion of completion of 69 years of the first session of the Assembly. Madhya Pradesh was formed on 1 November 1956 and the first session of the Legislative Assembly was held on 17 December the same year. Speaker Tomar said after the review meeting of the preparations for the special session that December 17 is an important date in the history of the Assembly and keeping this importance in mind, this special session has been organized. In the session, all the MLAs will discuss how to achieve the goal of developed Madhya Pradesh.

Meeting of all Congress MLAs

Political activities have also intensified before the special session. Umang Singhar has called a meeting of all Congress MLAs. This meeting will be held at the bungalow of the Leader of Opposition, where Congress MLAs will discuss important issues related to the state and the strategy to be adopted in the House during the special session.

On the other hand, Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar, along with Chief Secretary Arvind Sharma, has taken stock of the preparations for the special session and has given instructions to finalize the arrangements.

Congress is also preparing its strategy for the special session. The party is preparing to raise the real challenges of development along with the economic condition of the state, issues related to farmers, youth, women, tribals, Dalits, backward and weaker sections in the House. It is being told that Congress has also prepared a special agenda for the special session, so that a detailed and organized discussion can be held on the subject of developed, self-reliant and prosperous Madhya Pradesh.
