The Mumbai Airport official said, “Despite a serious threat in the air, the aircraft itself reached the terminal while taxi and the passengers got off the aircraft without any untoward incident.”

SpiceJet spokesperson said in an official statement about the incident, “On September 12, an outer wheel of a Q400 aircraft of SpiceJet going from Kandla to Mumbai was found on the runway. Nevertheless, the aircraft continued its journey and reached Mumbai and made a safe landing. After a safe landing at Mumbai Airport, the aircraft reached the terminal taxi with its strength and all the passengers landed normally.
