For IPL 2026, Sunrisers Hyderabad has appointed Varun Aaron as its new bowling coach. Varun Aaron, who has been seen commentary in India-England matches these days and analyst. Varun Aaron will now replace James Franklin of New Zealand, who was taking over as SRH’s bowling coach for the last two seasons. The Hyderabad franchise has confirmed Varun Aaron to be made a bowling coach on 14 July through social media.
Varun Aaron has not spent much time saying goodbye to his cricket career. He announced his retirement from all formats of cricket in January 2025 itself. He decided to retire after the elimination of Jharkhand in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Varun Aaron played 9 Test matches and 9 ODIs for India in his international career. He got the most recognition due to his bowling speed. The fastest ball thrown by Varun in international cricket was at a speed of 152.5 km per hour. He achieved this place in a ODI against Sri Lanka in the year 2014. At the same time, in domestic cricket, he bowled the ball at a speed of 153 km per hour.
