India Women Vs Srilanka Women T20Is Series 2025: The fourth match of the ongoing 5-match T20 series between the Indian women’s cricket team and the Sri Lankan women’s team was played last night i.e. on December 28, 2025, at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram, which Team India has won. India had chased the target in the first three matches of the series. In this match, batting came first and the team won by 30 runs. Thanks to half-centuries from Smriti Mandhana and Shefali Verma, the team made a record score of 221 runs for two wickets. In response to which, Sri Lanka could score only 191 runs for 6 wickets. This is also the biggest score of the Sri Lankan team but despite this it had to face defeat.

Smriti and Shefali made a partnership of 162 runs

Team India’s star batsman Smriti Mandhana, after failing in the first three matches, scored 80 runs with the help of 11 fours and three sixes in her 48-ball innings in the Thiruvananthapuram T20. During her third consecutive half-century in this series, Shefali Verma played a brilliant inning of 79 runs in 46 balls, in which 12 fours and one six came off her bat. Smriti and Shefali made a partnership of 162 runs for the first wicket, which is the record for the biggest partnership for any wicket from India in this format.

Richa Ghosh (40 not out in 16 balls) and captain Harmanpreet Kaur (16 not out) made a brilliant partnership of 53 runs in 23 balls for the third wicket, taking Team India to its highest score in this format. The team had earlier scored 217 runs for four wickets against West Indies in December 2024. India hit 28 fours and 8 sixes during its innings, which is a new record for the highest number of boundaries hit by Team India in this format.

Sri Lanka lost despite batting well

Sri Lanka women’s team could score only 191 runs after losing 6 wickets in the fourth T20 match played in Thiruvananthapuram. In this match, captain Chamari Atapattu made the top score of 52 runs in 37 balls for the Sri Lankan team. He hit 3 sixes and 3 fours in this innings. Hasini Perera scored 33 runs in 20 balls with the help of 7 fours while Imesha Dulani added 29 runs. For India, Arundhati Reddy and Vaishnavi Sharma took 2 wickets each, while Sri Charani took 1 wicket.
