If you are dreaming of working in the central government, then there is great news for you. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued a notification of Joint Graduate Level Examination (SSC CGL 2025). This time the Commission has announced recruitment for 14,582 posts. For this, the online application process has started and interested candidates can apply by visiting SSC’s official website ssc.gov.in.
The application process has started from 9 June 2025 and the last date to apply has been fixed on 4 July 2025. Candidates who apply, will have to pay the fee by 5 July. If someone has to rectify any mistake in the application, then there will be an opportunity to improve between 9 and 11 July.
Different posts will be filled
Under this recruitment process, there will be appointments in different departments and ministries of the Central Government to Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ posts. Group B consists of posts like Assistant Section Officer, Income Tax Inspector, Central Excise Inspector, Narcotics Inspector, Sub-Inspector, Research Assistant, Postal Inspector. At the same time, Group C will have recruitment in posts like Auditor, Tax Assistant, Postal Assistant, Accountant, Additional Divisional Clerk.
How much age limit?
The age limit for these posts has been fixed separately according to the post, such as 18 to 27 years, 18 to 30 years or 20 to 30 years. Age will be calculated on 1 August 2025 basis. Candidates of reserved classes will be given exemption as per rules.

Application fee will have to be paid so much
Talking about the application fee, the candidates of general and OBC class will have to pay a fee of Rs 100. Whereas women, SC/ST class, PWD and ex -servicemen will not have to pay any kind of fee. The selection process will have two stages of computer based examination (CBT), after which the document verification will be done. Both Tier-1 and Tier-2 exams will be of objective type.
When will the exam be done?
Now let’s talk about the SSC CGL Tier-1 exam of the exam will be conducted between 13 to 30 August 2025. After this, the Tier-2 exam is proposed in December 2025. That is, the candidates have enough time for preparation.
