This contract of Rs 2,631.14 crore received by Consortium from BSNL includes the design, supply, construction, installation, upgradation, operation and maintenance of the middle-mile network for the telecom circle of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. This project will take three years for Bharatnet, while maintenance will have to be handled for 10 years. It will cost about Rs 1,620 crore to build this network, while its operation will cost Rs 972 crore. Apart from this, Rs 38 crore will be spent on the maintenance of the already existing network.
Performance of company shares
During trading on Wednesday, the stocks of Sterlite Technologies climbed 15.21 percent to Rs 88.68 per share, which is a high level after December 18. By 11:04 am, it was trading at Rs 85.34 per share with an increase of 10.87 percent. In comparison, there has been a decline of 0.35 percent in NSE Nifty 50.
In the last 12 months, the stock has fallen by 34.69 percent and so far this year 25.60 percent. So far, the total amount of business in the day was 44 times more than its 30-day average. The relative strength index was at 79, which shows it in the position of the overbot. According to Bloomberg data, two of the three analysts monitoring the company have maintained a ‘buy’ rating and one has suggested to be placed on ‘hold’.
