Steve Smith has become the most expensive player in Pakistan Super League history. Before the start of PSL 11, Sialkot Stallions have signed him for 14 crore Pakistani rupees. Smith is currently a part of the Australian team in the T20 World Cup 2026, who will replace Mitchell Marsh. Marsh has been out of the entire tournament due to injury. Sialkot Stallions will pay Smith an amount of US$5 lakh for the next season.

PSL 11 will start from March 26 and the final match will be played on May 3. The number of teams has been increased from 6 to 8 for the eleventh season. Pakistan Cricket Board had conducted auction for two new teams. Sialkot Stallions came into existence after that auction.

Let us tell you that after ending the draft process in PSL, auction was conducted for the first time in 2026. The auction of PSL 11 took place on 11 February. In the auction, bids were placed on famous players like David Warner, Daryl Mitchell, Devon Conway and Marnus Labuschagne.

Naseem Shah most expensive Pakistani

Fast bowler Naseem Shah was the most expensive Pakistani player in the auction, who was bought by Islamabad United for Rs 8.65 crore. All-rounder Faheem Ashraf was also bought by Islamabad United, who received a bid of 8.5 crore Pakistani rupees.

How much amount did Babar Azam get?

Babar Azam was retained by Peshawar Zalmi for Rs 7 crore for PSL. The most expensive player to be retained was Sam Ayub, who was retained by Peshawar Zalmi for Rs 12.5 crore.
