Stock Market Holidays in March: There will be no trading on BSE, NSE for 12 days, know when the stock market will be closed in March?

There are four Saturdays and five Sundays in the month of March 2026. In this way the stock market will remain closed for nine days. Apart from these nine days of holidays, there are three big festivals in March, due to which there will be no trading in the market. During this period, all the segments from equity to commodity, derivatives, currency market will remain closed. Let us know which are these trading holidays:-

  • There will be a holiday of Holi on 3rd March, which is one of the biggest festivals of India.
  • Ram Navami will be a holiday on 26th March.
  • There will be a holiday of Shri Mahavir Jayanti on 31st March.

In this way the market will remain closed for 12 days. Generally, there are not so many days of holidays in the Indian stock market.

Will the market be closed or open on the day of Holika Dahan?

There will be a holiday in the market on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 on the occasion of Holi. This holiday coincides with Holika Dahan. The stock market will be open on March 4, when colors will be playing in most parts of the country. Normal trading will resume in Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange on March 4. The market will open as usual at 9:15 am and will remain open till 3:30 pm.
