Stock Market Today: The Indian stock market started the trading day on Friday, October 24 with a bullish momentum. However, this bullishness did not last long and both the major indices started trading in the red. The 30-share BSE Sensex index jumped 110.83 points to start the trading day at 84,667.23. At the same time, NSE Nifty 50 also opened with a gain of 43.7 points and traded in the green mark at 25,935.10. Immediately after this, a decline was seen in both the indexes.
By 9:25 pm, the Sensex was trading at 84,478, down 77 points. Whereas Nifty 50 was trading at 25,873 after slipping 18 points.

On Thursday, October 23, the fourth trading session of the week, there was a rise in the Indian stock market and both the major indices closed with the green mark. The Sensex ended the trading day at 84,556.40 with a rise of 130.06 points or 0.15 percent, while the NSE Nifty 50 ended the trading day at 25,891.40 with a rise of 22.80 points or 0.09 percent.
INFY, TCS, Axis Bank, Kotak Bank, Titan, HCL Tech were the top gainers from the BSE basket. Talking about the top losers, Eternal, Bharti Airtel, UltraTech Cement, Adani Port were. A rise was recorded in Nifty Bank, Nifty 100, Nifty Fin Service, Nifty FMCG and Nifty IT. At the same time, Nifty Midcap, Nifty Smallcap, Nifty Auto closed trading on the red mark. On Thursday’s trading day, 20 shares from BSE basket closed in the green and 10 shares recorded a decline.
