Mahesh Anand started his film career in Bollywood as a model and dancer. He was seen in the same role in Sanam Teri Kasam, released in 1982, as a back dancer. In 1984, he got a break in his acting career through Karishma. But he got real recognition in 1988 when Amitabh Bachchan’s film Shahenshah was released.

Mahesh Anand also worked with actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Govinda, Aamir, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar. He had a different charm as a villain among the heroes. Mahesh Anand wrote a lot on his Facebook about his work, separation from his son and betrayal. He claimed that his stepbrother had cheated him of Rs 6 crore. Mahesh Anand remained very troubled in his personal life also. He married 5 times, and is said to have had affairs with more than 12 women.

His first wife was Barkha Roy, but this relationship ended within a few months. Then he married Miss India International Erica Maria D’Souza, with whom he has a son. Then he married Madhu Malhotra and after that he also married Usha Bachani.

In 2019, Mahesh Anand tried to revive his acting career in Bollywood. He also got a small job in the film Rangeela Raja. The tragic incident happened just 22 days after the film’s release. Mahesh Anand was found dead in his house on 9 February 2019. Food and alcohol were found lying next to his body on the sofa.
