Netflix’s superhit web series ‘Stranger Things 5’ has once again come into the limelight. On the special occasion of New Year 2026, the most awaited 8th and last episode of the series ‘The Rightside Up’ was released. Fans all over the world were eagerly waiting to see this.
However, as soon as the finale episode was streamed, a huge crowd of viewers gathered. This caused Netflix to crash. Its technical problems disappointed the audience.
Fans upset due to one minute glitch
According to media reports, this technical glitch lasted for about a minute. During this time many users saw a message on the screen. It was written, ‘Something went wrong. Sorry, we’re having a problem with your request. You will get to see a lot on the home page.

Netflix apologized
Although after some time the problem was fixed after refreshing, by then the anger of the audience was clearly visible on social media. Many fans expressed their displeasure, while some people took it as a joke and started sharing memes. Within no time this issue started trending. To handle the situation, the makers of the series and Netflix had to apologize to the viewers.

Netflix has crashed before
Let us remind you that this is not the first time that Netflix has crashed. Earlier in July 2022, a similar technical problem had come to light during the last episode of the fourth season of ‘Stranger Things’. Despite this, the series finale received a tremendous response from the audience and ‘Stranger Things 5’ created history with a memorable ending.
