What did Mamata Banerjee say?
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed deep grief over the demise of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in the plane crash in Maharashtra’s Pune district. Banerjee also demanded a proper investigation into the incident. Banerjee said in a post on ‘X’, ‘Shocked by the sudden demise of Ajit Pawar. The Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and others traveling with him died in a horrific plane crash in Baramati this morning. I am deeply saddened by this incident. My condolences to his family, including his uncle Sharad Pawar ji, and all the friends and supporters of late Ajit.
He said, ‘There should be a proper investigation into this incident.’ According to officials, five people, including Pawar (66), died in a plane crash in Pune district on Wednesday morning. This accident happened when the plane was landing in Baramati area of the district.
