IPL 2025, Mitchell Starc, Alyssa Healy: In view of the tension between India and Pakistan, the match of Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings was stopped in the middle. This match was being played in Dharamshala. The next day IPL 2025 was also stopped. Now Australian cricketer Mitchell Starc’s wife has told how it was then.

Let us know that Stark is part of the team of Delhi Capitals in IPL 2025. His wife and Australia’s women’s team captain Alyssa Heli shared the night incident when the IPL match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals was canceled between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamshala due to the siren ringing in neighboring cities. The match was stopped when Punjab had scored 122 runs for one wicket in 10.1 overs and the failure of the floodlight was given the initial reason.

Alyssa, wife of Australia and Delhi Capitals fast bowler Mitchell Starc, was present in the stand with family members of other players at the time. Assuming that this is a minor problem, Alyssa and others present with her should remain calm first, but then things got out of hand.

Elisa said on the ‘Willotock’ podcast, the light of some electric tower was lost and we were just waiting there. I heard a few seats away the rumor that we may have to vacate the stadium, because the power has gone down. We had a large group of family and additional associate staff with us. The next minute the man who was with our group and was on the bus with us comes and his face turned white.

Alyssa further said, she said that we should go now, and we were saying, oh, it’s fine. For example, we consider it better to let everyone go out of the stadium and stay there. We are probably safe here, because everywhere people will be coming down the stairs.

After this, things changed rapidly and players from Punjab and Delhi were already present where they were taken. This wicketkeeper batsman said, then another man came out, his face had turned white, he caught a child and said we have to leave now.

Alyssa said that it happened so fast that Faf du Plessy was in the room without shoes. He said, the players were there. Faf did not even wear shoes. They all were just waiting there and were seen under stress. I asked Mich, ‘What is happening?’ And he said, 60 km away, the city has just been attacked with missiles.

Alyssa further said, and therefore completely black out in the area, which meant that the light was Gul because the Dharamshala Stadium was like a light at that time. Then the seriousness of the situation was realized.

Blackouts were implemented in many districts including Pathankot, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Mohali and Union Territory Chandigarh in Punjab amid reports of an air attack warning and explosion in Jammu.

Alyssa said, suddenly we were put in the van and we went back to the hotel. The situation there was not very good. We were sitting in the bus with some players of Punjab. I think Shreyas Iyer was in my bus. It was as if you climb in the van as soon as you leave.

The teams were brought to Delhi through long road and train travel. The IPL was suspended for a week, but will be resumed on 17 May, expecting most foreign players to return to their respective franchises.
