Suniel Shetty Abused Gangster: In the 90s, stories of complication between Bollywood and underworld used to come out. Many gangsters used to call him for ransom. He used to threaten and demand a hefty amount from celebs. Many celebs used to give money to the gangster, but Sunil Shetty had threatened the gangster on the phone. He had abused so much that everyone had calmed down. Sunil Shetty has recently disclosed this story himself.
Sunil Shetty had narrated the story of abusing gangster Hemant Pujari in an interview to Lallantop. He told that Hemant had threatened to kill his father after which the actor was enraged.
Used to try to scare
Sunil Shetty said- ‘Shetty people in Mumbai were a bit aggressive at that time because they were a suppressed community. There was always tension between him and the underworld. I was also a Shetty, then the gangster felt that if he had threatened or harmed me, the Shetty community would give them money and bow. Hemant priest used to call me continuously. He used to call me my personal number, offer, my manager everywhere. He felt that by doing this he would be able to scare me.
Sunil Shetty abused
Sunil further said- ‘Once he called me and said that he would shoot my father. When he goes for a walk in the morning, he will kill. I did not tolerate this. Abused him and silenced him. I told him that I know more about him, as much as he knows in me. I have more money and connections than that. So one should not play with me.
Police gave this advice
Sunil said, ‘The whole thing was recorded and I contacted the police. He advised me not to lose his temper on the gangster. Should not be abused. He will not think twice in pulling the trigger.
