Family members including Sunny and Bobby will gather at Dharmendra’s Khandala farmhouse and meet fans who want to pay tribute to him. According to a Hindustan Times report, a source said, “Sunny and Bobby have decided to visit their father’s farmhouse to honor his memory and legacy. While discussing their planning, they realized that many fans would want to get a chance to meet or see Dharmendra for the last time. So, they have decided to open the doors of the farmhouse to fans who want to come and honor their father and meet the family.”
Deol family wants to keep the event simple
Preparations for the event have already begun; the Deol family wants to keep the event simple and accessible without turning it into an official fan meet. According to the report, the source further said, “It’s not that he has organized any special fans event or anything, but he has opened the doors for people who want to come and honor his father’s legacy. As far as transport arrangements are concerned, they can consider it, since the road to the farmhouse is not easily accessible for everyone right now. However, this will depend on how many people are planning to attend, which has not been confirmed yet.”
This tribute in Khandala will come after several functions organized by the family after Dharmendra’s demise. A private funeral of Dharmendra was held in Mumbai, which was attended by relatives and celebrities from the film industry. On November 27, the family hosted a prayer meet called “Celebration of Life”, which was attended by Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Rekha and Aishwarya Rai. Hema Malini also organized a separate prayer meeting for Dharmendra at her home on the same day. After this, Sunny, Bobby and Karan Deol went to Haridwar, where they immersed Dharmendra’s ashes in the Ganga at Har Ki Pauri.
