India vs South Africa T20 series is going to start from 9th December. Before that, a big update has come on the fitness of Shubman Gill. BCCI’s Center of Excellence has informed the Indian team management that Shubman Gill has completed his rehabilitation process and he is completely fit to play in all three formats.
Shubman Gill was included in the Indian squad for the T20 series against South Africa. To prove his fitness, he had to complete the protocol of going through the entire process of rehab.
Shubman Gill suffered a neck injury on the second day of the India vs South Africa Kolkata Test. He suffered a neck strain while attempting a sweep shot off Simon Harmer. After this he also had to be admitted to the hospital. Due to this injury, Gill has not been able to play in the ODI series against South Africa.
To prove himself fit for the T20 series, Shubman Gill had to undergo rehabilitation as well as skill training at the Center of Excellence in Bengaluru. He also practiced batting, fielding and match simulation.
The players included in India’s T20 squad will reach Cuttack on Saturday, where the first T20 match of both the teams is to be played. The first training session of the Indian team will be held on Sunday. Let us tell you that this T20 series will run from 9th December to 16th December.
