Health risks of eating synthetic paneer: Paneer is a great option for vegetarian people instead of non-veg. However, both veg and non-veg people eat it with great enthusiasm. Mostly it is divided into two parts, dairy cheese and analog cheese. The taste of these two may be almost similar, but their effect on health is completely different. What is dairy cheese?

To make it, milk is curdled. Usually people prepare it at home. To make milk, lemon juice, vinegar or any acidic substance is added to it by heating it, which curdles the milk and separates the curd and water. After this the curd is pressed and set and this is called paneer. This cheese is rich in protein, calcium, phosphorus and vitamin B12. Good fats and amino acids are found in it. If you consume it, you get many benefits from it. Like it is beneficial for bones, muscles and nervous system.

Now we come to the second form of cheese i.e. analog cheese. Analog cheese is also called synthetic cheese. It is not made from milk but from things like vegetable oil, starch and milk powder. Sometimes artificial flavors and colors are also added to it so that it looks like real cheese. It is widely used in hotels, street foods and large catering orders. There are many reasons behind this, like its price is much lower than dairy cheese. Besides this, it also does not spoil quickly.

Why is analog cheese dangerous for health?

Now let’s talk about why analog cheese is dangerous for our health. According to Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) and many health reports, excessive use of analog cheese can have adverse effects on health. The trans fat and hydrogenated oils present in it increase the risk of heart diseases. Along with this, it can uncontrolled blood sugar and cholesterol level. Its consumption for a long time can lead to problems like obesity, diabetes and heart disease.

How to identify?

Now the question comes that how can we identify which one is dairy and which one is analog. Real dairy cheese is soft and slightly moist when pressed, whereas fake cheese feels hard like rubber. Along with this, real cheese starts breaking slightly when put in hot water, whereas fake cheese remains as it is.
