T-20 World Cup 2026: Team India will have to pay attention to this before the semi-finals, lest a big mistake be made in the title fight.

Team India has secured the ticket for the semi-finals of T20 World Cup 2026. Under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav, the Indian team will play the semi-final match of the T20 World Cup against England for the sixth time on March 5. However, despite the tournament being held on home soil, the journey till the Super-8 has been full of difficulties for the Indian team. That champion factor has not been seen in the Indian team’s game.

The biggest problem for Team India has been batting. In the very first match of the T20 World Cup 2026, the batting order of the Indian team against America was exposed. The batting order decorated with star batsmen was scattered like a house of cards. On the score of 77, the team had lost the wickets of its main six batsmen. However, on the basis of the innings of 84 runs from the bat of captain Suryakumar Yadav, the team was successful in reaching a respectable score.

Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya had scored runs against Namibia, but the performance of the rest of the batsmen was disappointing. Even against the weak bowling attack of Namibia, batsmen like captain Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Verma were seen struggling. Surya had played 13 balls to score 12 runs, while Tilak could score only 25 runs after facing 21 balls.

Only Ishan Kishan appeared in form against Pakistan and he played a strong inning of 77 runs in 40 balls. However, apart from him, only Suryakumar Yadav could cross the 30-run mark. Surya had played 29 balls to score 32 runs. The story was similar against Netherlands and there Shivam Dubey had scored 66 runs in 31 balls.

Despite playing against smaller teams in the group stage, batsmen like Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Verma and captain Suryakumar Yadav himself were seen struggling for runs. It was expected that the Indian batsmen would make a strong comeback in the Super-8 round and show the strong game for which they are known.

However, the story got worse in the Super-8 round. India’s strong batting line-up could score only 111 runs against South Africa. The batting order of the Indian team definitely appeared in rhythm against Zimbabwe and Surya’s army was successful in putting its highest score of the T20 World Cup on the scoreboard.

Sanju Samson led the team to victory by playing a brilliant inning of 97 runs against West Indies, but the condition of the rest of the batsmen was miserable.

The Indian camp had the highest expectations from Abhishek Sharma in the T20 World Cup 2026, but this left-handed batsman has failed miserably in the tournament. Abhishek has been able to score only 80 runs in 6 matches. Abhishek has not even been able to open his account in 3 matches. Suryakumar Yadav, famous for his stormy batting, has failed to score runs quickly in this World Cup. Surya’s strike rate in T20 World Cup 2026 has been only 135. Hardik Pandya has failed to score runs in big matches and on important occasions.

Overall, Ishan Kishan has been the only batsman from the Indian team whose performance has been consistent. The biggest problem of Team India’s batting order in this World Cup has been that all the batsmen have failed to score runs in unison. This weakness may prove costly for the Indian team in a high-pressure match like the semi-final against England on March 5.
