The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the schedule of the 2026 T20 World Cup. This mega event will start from 7th February. The title match will be played on March 8. A total of 20 teams will participate in the 2026 T20 World Cup, which are divided into 4 groups. T20 World Cup matches will be played at a total of five venues in India. In the 2026 T20 World Cup, 3 matches will be played on the first day i.e. on 7th February. Pakistan’s match will be with Netherlands. India will face USA and West Indies will face Bangladesh. Let us tell you that the final match of the 2026 T20 World Cup will be played on March 8 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. If Pakistan team qualifies for the finals then the title match will be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Similarly, the semi-final matches are to be played in Kolkata and Mumbai, but if Pakistan team goes to the semi-finals then it will play the semi-finals in Colombo.

Group B- Australia, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Zimbabwe and Oman
Group C- England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Nepal and Italy

India-Pak match on 15th February
There will be a big match between India and Pakistan on 15th February in the 2026 T20 World Cup. Both the teams will clash at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The first match of the tournament will be played between Pakistan and Netherlands. Team India will play its first match against USA on 7th February.
Matches will be held at 5 venues in India and 3 in Sri Lanka.

Rohit Sharma becomes brand ambassador
ICC Chairman Jay Shah has declared Rohit Sharma as the brand ambassador of the 2026 T20 World Cup. It was under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma that India won the 2024 T20 World Cup title, after which he retired from this format. Jai Shah said that there could not have been a better person than Rohit Sharma for the responsibility of ambassador. Being the brand ambassador, Rohit Sharma will make an important contribution in promoting the T20 World Cup at the global level.
