According to mobile experts, when the phone is overheated, its battery gets affected the most. Due to continuous exposure to high temperature, the capacity of the battery starts reducing. Many times the battery starts swelling, starts discharging quickly or the phone starts switching off suddenly. If care is not taken in time, the battery as well as the motherboard and processor can be affected. This is why taking overheating lightly can prove costly.

What causes the phone to get hot?

The biggest reasons for phone heating include playing games for a long time, recording videos at high resolution, continuous video streaming, running of multiple apps simultaneously in the background and using internet in poor network. Apart from this, using the phone during fast charging, using local or old charger and the phone’s storage being full can also cause the device to heat up. Many people keep the phone in a pit or on a bed sheet while charging, due to which heat is not able to come out and the temperature starts increasing rapidly.

Strong sunlight and hot places can become a danger

Tech experts say that leaving the phone in direct sunlight or inside the car in summer can be most dangerous. Many times the phone is kept near the fridge or ice to cool it quickly. But doing this can also prove to be harmful, due to sudden change in temperature, moisture starts forming inside the phone, which can damage the internal parts.

If your phone gets too hot then do this immediately

If the phone becomes excessively hot then the charger should be removed first. After this, the thick back cover of the phone should be removed, so that the hit can come out easily. Putting the phone on airplane mode or switching it off for some time is also considered beneficial. It keeps searching for signals continuously in weak networks, due to which the pressure on the battery and processor increases and the phone starts overheating. In such a situation, switching off data or mobile network for some time can also help.

Android users should change this setting

Android users can turn off Wi-Fi scanning and Bluetooth scanning. Removing location and microphone permissions when not needed can also help. Whereas in a phone with 120Hz screen, changing the refresh rate to 60Hz reduces battery consumption and the phone gets less hot. If the phone has the option of fast charging and there is continuous heating, then switching it off in summer is also considered beneficial.
