Staff Selection Board Commission has issued the notification of Stenographer Recruitment 2026 for the youth preparing for Central Government jobs. Through this recruitment, appointments will be made on a total of 731 posts of Grade C and Grade D. The special thing is that 12th pass candidates can also apply for these posts, due to which a large number of candidates will get a chance.

Important dates for stenographer posts

The application process for this recruitment has started from 24 April 2026. Candidates can apply online till 15 May 2026. The last date for submission of application fee has been fixed as 16 May 2026. The correction window will open on 20th and 21st May for correction in the application form. It is considered possible to conduct the examination between July and August 2026.

How many posts will be recruited and what is the qualification?

SSC will fill a total of 731 posts under this recruitment drive. This recruitment will be done in different ministries, departments and organizations of the Central Government. Classification of posts will be issued by the Commission. It is mandatory for the candidates applying for these posts to have passed 12th from a recognized board. Also, the candidate should have knowledge of stenography. Talking about the age limit, it has been fixed at 18 to 27 years for Grade D and 18 to 30 years for Grade C. Age will be calculated on the basis of 1st August 2026. Apart from this, reserved category candidates will get relaxation as per rules.

Application fee and selection process for recruitment

General, OBC and EWS candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 100 for this recruitment process. Whereas the application has been kept free for SC, ST, PWBD and women candidates. This recruitment process will be completed in two phases. First of all the candidate will have to give a computer based examination, successful candidates will be called for school test. Which will be based on stenography. After this document verification will be done.

Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission has released the official notification for recruitment to the posts of Forest Guard and Wildlife Warden in the Forest Department. This is an important opportunity for the people who have been waiting for this recruitment for a long time. Because this time appointments will be made on more than 700 posts.

How many posts will be recruited in total?

According to the advertisement issued by the Commission, a total of 708 posts will be filled. This includes the general and special selection of forest guards as well as the posts of wildlife guards. How will the application process be completed?

Recruitment selection process and age limit

To apply for this recruitment, the age of the candidates should be minimum 18 years and maximum 40 years as on July 1, 2026. Age relaxation will be given to reserved categories as per rules. Regular candidates will be given salary ranging from Rs 19,900 to Rs 63,200 under Level-2 pay scale. Apart from this, in the selection process, first of all the candidates will be called for the main written examination on the basis of PET 2025 score. Successful candidates in the written examination will have to undergo document verification and medical test. Apart from this, physical test and physical efficiency will also be an important part of this recruitment.

Physical Test and Rules

Physical efficiency is very important in this recruitment of Forest Department. Male candidates will have to complete a run of 25 kilometers in 4 hours with a weight of 10 kg. Whereas women will have to run 14 kilometers in four hours. It is mandatory to pass this test. The minimum height for male candidates has been fixed at 168 cm, relaxation in height is given to reserved categories. Apart from this, chest should be 84 centimeters. For female candidates, the minimum height has been kept at 152 centimeters, while the weight should be between 45 to 58 kilograms. In this recruitment, the application fee for all categories has been fixed at Rs 25. A separate fee will be charged for the main examination, while applications will be accepted only through online mode.
