<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>ODI World Cup 2011:</strong> Under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, India won their second ODI title by defeating Sri Lanka in the final in 2011 on this day. Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli handled the innings when Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar were dismissed cheaply while chasing 275 runs. After this, MS Dhoni played an unbeaten innings of 91 runs and took Team India to victory. Then he became Dhoni&#8217;s Winning Six and became iconic.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Kumar Sangakkara won the toss and decided to bat first. The team was able to score 274 from Mahela Jayawardene&#8217;s century (103). Zaheer Khan and Yuvraj Singh took 2-2 wickets. After this, while chasing the target, Virender Sehwag was out on the second ball of the first over by Lasith Malinga. </p>
