The year 2025 has been no less than a roller coaster for Bollywood. While some films performed well at the box office, many high budget and big star films gave a big shock to the makers. Despite huge hype before release, strong promotion and star studded cast, these films could not connect with the audience in the theatres. The result was that many films did not recover even half their budget. This made it clear that star power and big budget alone are no longer a guarantee of box office success.

Bollywood actor Sonu Sood’s directorial film ‘Fateh’ was included in the notable flop films of the year. The budget of this film, released on January 10, 2025, was around Rs 30 crore. But its collection at the box office was only Rs 17 crore. The content of the film could not impress the audience much.

2025 has been great for Bollywood films. Many big films have been released this year. Some of which proved to be hits and some flopped badly. Most of the hit films have been of small budget and there are very few big budget films which could survive at the box office. Let us tell you how many films have flopped so far in the year 2025. Films of many big stars are also included in this list.

From Salman Khan to Akshay Kumar, fans have high expectations from their films. Whenever any big star’s film is announced, people start waiting for it. There is a lot of craze about these but when they flop, the fans get shocked because their stories have no substance.

These films flopped

The year 2025 started with Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force. After watching Sky Force, people thought that this film would prove to be a hit but it proved to be a flop. Sky Force was made with a budget of Rs 160 crore and collected Rs 134 crore at the box office. Akshay Kumar’s 3 films have flopped so far this year. In which Sky Force, Kesari Chapter 2 and Housefull 5 are there. Salman Khan’s Sikandar was released on the occasion of Eid. This film could not last more than a week. The lifetime collection of the film is 129.95 crores.

Talking about flop films, it includes War 2, Badass Ravi Kumar (13.78 crore), Crazy (14.03 crore), The Diplomat (40.73 crore), Jaat (90.34 crore), Maa (38.63 crore), Param Sundari (54.85 crore), The Bengal Files (19.59 crore), Baaghi 4 (67.09 crore) and Mirai. These films have earned very little. War 2 was made with a budget of Rs 300-400 crore and was able to earn only Rs 244 crore at the box office.
