Scientists have received a very surprising discovery from history. The remains of a 30,000 -year -old vulture feathers have been found inside the Koli Albani volcanic region near Rome, Italy. These remains have been preserved in a special way and some records have been found with them which have never been recorded in history before. These remains include bird wings and excerpts, which were first discovered in 1889. These remains belong to a griffon vulture.

The special feature of these remains of vulture found in Italy is that the process of preserving them. Scientists have not yet found any clue about how they must have been preserved. New research suggests that the feathers were covered in volcanic ash, which later turned into a silicon -rich geolite crystal, maintaining the structure of the delicate tissues of the vulture. This is the first example of such protection in volcanic substances. That is, there is no record of use of volcanic ash in protection before this.

Study Geology Has been published in Analysis performed using electron microscope and chemical tests showed that feathers were fossils in three-dimensional form. This is completely different from the normal fossilization process, where feathers leave two-dimensional carbon imprints. Earlier, three-dimensional wings fossils were identified only in Amber.

The study has been done under the leadership of Valentina Rossi, the fossilist of the University College, Cork, Ireland. Researchers found that geolite minerals played an important role in maintaining the subtle details of the wings. Rossi has described this discovery as amazing and shed light on the fact that the protected wings were never previously documentation in the volcanic ash. This fossil was first discovered by a land owner in the foothills of Mount Tuscolo. It was then known to be unusually preserved in the volcanic rock.
<!--
