Turki and Indonesia have done a big defense deal by creating history. A deal of $ 10 billion was signed for the sale of 48 Kaan fighter jets during the International Defense Fair (IDEF) held in Istanbul, the capital of the Turki. This is the first export deal of this state -of -the -art fighter aircraft for Turki.

The deal was announced by Turki President Recep Tayip Erdogan on June 11 and now it has become officially corrected. Indonesia, which has become the first buyer of this agreement, has now become an important strategic partner of Turk’s indigenous defense technology. With this deal, the Turkas have not only performed their technical abilities internationally, but have also taken a big step towards taking their domestic aerospace projects to the global level.

Why is Kaan Fighter J 5th generation great aircraft?

Kaan fighter jet is a state-of-the-art 5th-generation battle aircraft developed by Turki, known for air superiority, accurate attack and multi-rol abilities. Its first prototype was introduced in 2023 and its first successful test flight in 2024. Talking about the main features, the Kaan Fighter Jet has an advance design to prevent radar. It has supersonic speed. It specializes in air war, ground attack and monitoring. Digital is equipped with avionics and AI. Kaan was previously known as TF-X. The Turki will start its serial production in 2028 and Indonesia will start its delivery from 2030.

Importance of this deal for Indonesia

This deal is special in many ways for the strategic vision of Indonesia. The purchase of Kaan is not only technological upgradation for Indonesia, but it lays the foundation of long -term partnership with Turkas in the country’s aerospace capabilities. The Turki Defense Industry Agency said that the deal is a symbol of the beginning of a new era in engineering, production and technology cooperation. Amca program: India’s Defense Ministry has approved the construction of Fifth Fighter Jet Amka of Fifth Generation, amidst the ongoing tension from Pakistan since Operation Sindoor. The special thing is that for the first time, private companies of the country have also been approved to participate in the process of making this fifth generation fighter aircraft. The country’s Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) has already designed the design and model of Advance Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA).

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh himself has shared information about the approval of Emka program. According to Rajnath Singh, both public and private sectors have been given the opportunity to compete with the FIFTH Generation Fighter Jet. Indian companies (private and government) for stealth fighter jet can prepare MCA alone or do so under joint venture or concertia (together with several companies).

Important steps towards becoming self -sufficient

According to the Ministry of Defense, soon the ADA (Ada) will release the Exemption of Interest (EOI) for the Emka Development Phase, which is the first stage for the tender of any defense deal. Under this, companies will first prepare a proto-type of Emka fighter jet. According to Rajnath Singh, this is an important step towards becoming self -sufficient in the aerospace sector.

In fact, recently, Pakistan had signed a deal of fifth generation stealth fighter jet, J-35 from China. After the crushing defeat at the hands of India after Operation Sindoor, it is reported that China has assured to do the delivery of J-35 soon. As part of the agreement, Pakistan is going to get 40 J-35 fighter jets from China and delivery may start in the next six months.

What will be indigenous Emka

Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (Emka), a medium-weight multi-roll, two-in-in aircraft, has been designed by DRDO’s Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA). The Cabinet Committee (CCS) led by PM Narendra Modi has allocated 15 thousand crores for the project of this fifth category fighter aircraft of about 25 tonnes.

Initially, ADA was preparing to create Swadeshi Amka in collaboration with Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). But it can take about a decade to make it, that is, before 2035, its first flying was difficult. This is the reason that the Ministry of Defense has now included private companies in it.

AI will be extremely deadly

The DRDO claims that when Emka is ready, it will be one of the most modern and deadly stealth fighter jets of its category. It is believed that it will prove to be extremely fatal for the enemy with Artificial Intelligence ie AI’s power pilot, Nettric Warfare System, Integrated Vehicle Health Management and Internal-Bey. The AI-power electronic pilot has a multi sensor data fusion so that the surrounding situation can be completely monitored. Also, the pilot can also take action immediately and the target should also be put accurate. Operations can be done with Emka in very low visuality.

Amka’s model came out this year

In February this year, ADA displayed the full-scale model of Amka at the Aero-India exhibition held in Bengaluru. This model will be converted into real Emka.

America and Russia want to give their fifth generation fighter jet

Russia’s Su-57 stealth fighter jet and Fifth Generation Fighter Jet, F-35 Lightning of Russia participated in Aero-India. In such a situation, it started to speculate whether India is planning to take any one of them. This is because indigenous Emka may take a whole decade to join the Indian Air Force. However, the CCS has given five years to prepare the prototype.

India has not yet prepared a plan to buy stealth fighter jets or make it with anyone else, but Russia has extended his hand to help in designing the fifth class fighter jet. Russia has said that if needed, Su-57 can also be constructed in India under Make in India. The US has not directly made the F-35 offer, but a major objective of participating in Aero-India was that India should be interested in buying stealth fighter jets.

Also in aerospace sector In front of India Two-front challenge

Last year, in November, China introduced its second stealth fighter Jet J-35 ‘Sheenyang’ in front of the world. Fifth Generation Aircraft -35 was officially introduced by China in ‘Zuhai Air Show’ (12-17 November 2024).

China wants to field its J-35 in the US against F-35. Before Zuhai Air Show, by sharing pictures and videos on social media, China had also expressed his intention to export countries like Pakistan. It was believed that China would export J-35A to friendly countries.

The Pakistani Air Force already uses China’s JF-17 and J-10 fighter jets. The inclusion of J-35 is expected to increase the strength of the Pakistani Air Force significantly. It is believed that Pakistani fighter pilot has started taking training on J-35 in China.

Turkey also prepared ear fighter jet

Pakistan has also bought modern Combat drone buyers from Turkey (Turki) and deployed on an air base near Lahore, bordering India. Soon after Operation Sindoor, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Pakistani Army Chief attended Turkey. Turkey has also claimed to have created a fifth generation fighter jet ear (KAAN).
