While talking to Hindutan Times, Vishal Jethwa said, ‘Even though Homebound did not reach the nominations, it was shortlisted. This in itself is a matter of respect. Homebound coming here and representing India globally is special in itself. I am very grateful to be a part of this film.

He said, ‘We may say that we do not expect anything, but now that so much was lost, there was at least some hope. Whoever saw the film liked it. Said the story was strong. This is an achievement for us.

The film has been directed by Neeraj Ghaywan. Karan Johar has produced the film. Ishaan Khattar, Vishal Jethwa and Jhanvi Kapoor were in lead roles in this film. The film is streaming on Netflix. The story of childhood friends Shoaib and Chandan is shown in this film.

The 98th Oscar nominations were announced on January 22. Many Hollywood films made it to these nominations. Homebound was shortlisted in the International Feature Film category from India. The film Homebound has not reached the finals of the Oscars. Actor Vishal Jethwa reacted to this. Talking to Hindustan Times, he said, ‘We could not reach the final nominations, but being shortlisted in the last 15 films is an honor in itself. It has been very special for Homebound to come this far and represent India across the world. I will always be grateful to be a part of this film. We had come this far so we had some expectations. Everyone who saw this film liked it very much. They called it a strong story. This is also like an achievement.
