It is being claimed on social media platforms like YouTube, Instagram that under the PM Loan Scheme, people are getting a loan of Rs 3 lakh on Aadhar card. Are you also falling victim to such claims? What is the whole matter?
Actually, in this scam it is being claimed that under any ‘Pradhan Mantri Loan Scheme’, a loan of up to Rs 3 lakh can be obtained only through Aadhar card. In many cases, people are also told that to get the loan, they will have to deposit a small amount first. This amount will be taken from you as processing fee or insurance charge. However, the government’s fact-checking agency has clarified that there is no such official plan. That means the claim of instant loan of Rs 3 lakh on Aadhar card is completely fake.

How to stay safe?

• Do not trust any ‘instant loan’ offer.
• Do not share Aadhaar or bank details without checking.
• Get information about any government scheme only from the official website.
• If someone asks for money first, then understand that it could be a scam.
• Avoid downloading any unknown link or app.

Let us tell you that loan is definitely available under the Government’s Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, but it is not given directly on the Aadhaar card. For this one has to apply through bank or NBFC and claim the eligibility.
