Aadhaar-UAN Linking: This year is about to end and with it the deadlines of many...

Aadhaar-UAN Linking: This year is about to end and with it the deadlines of many important works are also coming to an end. Some deadlines even passed quietly. These also include the deadline for Aadhaar and UAN linking. Which is over now. EPFO has said that now there will be no further increase in its dues. Meaning those employers who did not get the linking done. He will no longer be able to do this work from November 2025. Let us tell you which work will be affected by this.

ECR filing will not be possible

Those employers who did not get the linking done after the deadline for Aadhaar and UAN linking. They will now be able to file ECR from November 2025. Let us tell you that ECR is a digital document. In which every month the complete details of employees’ contributions and payments are sent to EPFO. If Aadhaar and UAN are not linked, this file will not be submitted.

Also read: Amazing insurance cover for just Rs 436, know about this government scheme

This means the entire PF system of the employer may come to a standstill. EPFO gave instructions many times. So the time limit was also extended. But now he has said that enough chances have been given. There is no hope of relief after the deadline is over. Hence those whose linking is pending. He may get into trouble.

Which sectors will be most affected?

This decision is applicable for the entire country. But the impact will be more visible in certain areas and sectors. Employers operating in north-eastern states such as Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura need to be especially careful. Apart from these, beedi manufacturing, building and construction material, and plantation industries like tea, coffee, black pepper, cardamom, jute, rubber also come under the direct scope.

How to do Aadhar UAN linking?

Now the last and most important thing. If for some reason your Aadhaar is not yet linked to UAN. So it can be done online immediately. Login to EPFO Unified Portal. Then go to Manage and select KYC, select Aadhaar, enter the number and save.

How to check linking status

To know the status of your linking, login to Member Sewa Portal and open the KYC section. If Aadhaar is visible in the verified documents, then everything is fine. If it is not visible then do not delay, otherwise many works related to PF may get stopped.

In today’s time, Aadhar card is no longer just an identity card, but it has become the key to many of our daily essential services. Be it opening a bank account, availing benefits of government schemes, pension or gas subsidy, linking PAN-Aadhaar or filing income tax return, your Aadhaar card is needed everywhere. But the most important thing in every work related to Aadhaar is OTP, which is sent by UIDAI to the mobile number registered in your Aadhaar.

But in such a situation, a question often comes to mind that what will happen if that mobile number gets switched off, gets stolen, lost or you are not using that number at all? In such a situation, it becomes difficult to do any online work related to Aadhaar. Therefore, it is very important to update your new mobile number in Aadhaar. So let us know how to add a new mobile number if the old number linked to Aadhaar has been stopped.

Can I add a new mobile number?

UIDAI has stopped the facility to change mobile number online due to security reasons. If mobile number can be changed online, then anyone can misuse all the services related to Aadhaar by changing your number without your permission. To prevent this fraud, biometric verification of the person has been made mandatory when adding a new mobile number, which can be done only at the Aadhaar Seva Kendra. If your old number has been switched off, then you can link the new mobile number to Aadhaar with some easy methods.

How to add a new mobile number?

1. By visiting the nearest Aadhaar Seva Center – The first step to add a new number is to find an Aadhaar enrollment center near you. You can easily find the center nearest to you by visiting the UIDAI website. In which enter state, district or pin code. After this, information about the nearest Aadhaar center will appear on the screen.

2. Fill the Aadhaar Update Form – As soon as you reach the centre, you will get an Aadhaar Update and Correction Form. In this you will have to write your name, Aadhaar number and new mobile number. Keep in mind that there is no need to write the old mobile number in the form.

3. Biometric verification will be done – After submitting the form, the operator takes your fingerprint and iris scan to confirm your identity. This process is necessary so that it can be decided that the change in Aadhaar is being made by the same person who is actually its real owner.

4. Deposit the fee and take receipt – The government fee for updating mobile number is Rs 50. After depositing the fees, you will get a receipt on which a URN is written. With this URN you can go online and check the status of your request.

How to check status?

If you want to know whether your new mobile number is linked to Aadhaar or not, then go to UIDAI website and select Check Aadhaar Update Status or Verify Aadhaar option. Enter the Aadhaar number in it, fill the captcha and you will immediately know whether the update is complete or not. Often UIDAI also sends updated information through SMS. Usually it takes 24 hours to 5 days for the mobile number to be updated. But according to UIDAI guidelines this process can take up to 90 days.

Many people still think that mAadhaar and e-Aadhaar are the same app… but it is not so at all! After the launch of UIDAI’s new e-Aadhaar app, confusion among people has increased even more. For this reason, in this video we will tell you in very simple language what is the difference between mAadhaar and e-Aadhaar, what is the function of which app and which one should you use when. First of all let’s talk about mAadhaar app. This was the first official mobile app of UIDAI, which can be called your Aadhaar Manager in a way. With this app, you can download PDF of your Aadhaar, create Virtual ID (VID), lock/unlock Aadhaar, update your details and manage many basic services related to Aadhaar. That means mAadhaar = to manage Aadhaar. Now let’s talk about the new e-Aadhaar app, which has been created by UIDAI for paperless, smart and highly secure digital identity. This app offers modern features like Face Authentication, QR Code Authentication and adding 5 Aadhaar Profiles from the same mobile number. That means to use e-Aadhaar = Aadhaar Identity. UIDAI has clearly stated that e-Aadhaar has not replaced mAadhaar—both have different roles and together make Aadhaar services more modern and secure.

Aadhaar Card New Rules: Aadhar card is now required for almost every important work in the country. It is needed right from taking admission in school or college to availing the benefits of any government scheme. It has become the most important document as proof of identity and address.

Sometimes the information entered in Aadhaar like name, address, mobile number or biometric details may have to be changed. In such a situation, changes are being made in the updated rules by UIDAI from November 1, 2025. Now those who update Aadhaar will have to pay charges as per the new rate. Let us tell you how much will be charged for which update.

Higher fees will have to be paid from November 1

According to the new rules of UIDAI, from November 1, you will have to pay Rs 75 for updating name, address or mobile number in Aadhar card. If you want to update fingerprint, iris or photo. So its charge will be Rs 125. Whereas biometric update will be completely free for children of 5 to 7 years and 15 to 17 years. The facility of online document update is currently free till June 14, 2026.

Also read: Do not make this mistake even by mistake, the 21st installment of PM Kisan Yojana will get stuck.

But after that a charge of Rs 75 will have to be paid at the center for this service. Rs 40 for reprinting Aadhaar card and Rs 700 for the first person for home enrollment service. Whereas for every extra person at the same address, Rs 350 will have to be paid. So if you want to make any changes. So it would be better to complete it online in time.

Also read: Don’t get scammed while trying to earn money online, keep these things in mind

It is necessary to link PAN with Aadhar

UIDAI has issued a notice to every PAN card holder to link their PAN with Aadhaar by 31 December 2025. If you did not do this work as per the stipulated time. Then your PAN will become inactive from January 1, 2026. Due to this, neither you will be able to file income tax return nor you will be able to use PAN card in any financial transaction.

The government has taken this step to prevent cases of fraud and tax evasion. In such a situation, those who have not yet linked Aadhaar-PAN. They should complete this process soon. You can easily do this by visiting www.incometax.gov.in or uidai.gov.in website.

From November 1, SBI credit card users will have to pay additional charges on some transactions. If education related payments (like school/college fees) are made through third party apps like CRED or MobiKwik, there will be an additional charge of 1%. Also, if you load more than ₹ 1,000 into a digital wallet (like Paytm or PhonePe) from SBI card, then 1% charge will have to be paid on that too.

2. Big change in Aadhar card update charge

UIDAI has given relief regarding Aadhaar card update of children. Biometric update of children will now be completely free (for the next one year). For adults, a fee of Rs 75 will be charged for updating name, address, date of birth or mobile number. There will be a charge of Rs 125 for fingerprint or eye scan (biometric update). Plus, you can now update some basic details — like name, date of birth or address — without uploading any documents.

3. New GST slabs will be applicable

The government is going to implement major changes in the GST structure from November 1. The old four slabs (5%, 12%, 18%, and 28%) have been simplified and converted into two slabs. Now 12% and 28% slabs have been removed. Also, up to 40% GST will now be imposed on luxury and harmful items. The aim of the government is to make the GST structure simple and transparent.

4. New rules for bank nomination

The rules related to nomination for bank accounts have been changed from November 1. Now maximum four nominees can be made for one account, locker or safe custody. The process of adding or changing a nominee has been made easier and online than before. This will make it easier for the family to access funds in emergency situations.

5. Deadline for shifting from NPS to UPS extended

Relief news for central employees – Employees who want to shift from National Pension System (NPS) to Unified Pension Scheme (UPS) have now been given time till November 30. This additional time will give employees the opportunity to review and plan their options.

SIR in Pan India: After successfully completing the first phase in Bihar, now the Election Commission of India is all set to start the second phase of special intensive vetting in 12 states. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar has announced that the people of Bihar have shown their faith in this process. Along with this, he further said that the purpose of this process is to update and also verify the voter lists across the country. Meanwhile, before starting this process, let us know about those documents without which it is impossible to prove one’s citizenship.

what is sir

Special Intensive Revision, also known as SIR, is a major initiative of the Election Commission to clean and update the voter database of the country. Booth level officers go door-to-door to verify information related to address, age and identity of voters. The purpose of this entire initiative is to ensure that only eligible citizens remain in the voter list. Bihar was the first state to successfully complete this process and now this model will be implemented in the entire country.

Which documents will prove citizenship?

When it comes to proving citizenship, certain documents are legally recognized as per government guidelines. These include birth certificate, residence certificate, passport, National Register of Citizens document, government identity card or pension order. Let us tell you that Aadhar Card, PAN Card or Ration Card are valid only for address or government schemes, they are not considered as proof of citizenship. Along with this, Voter ID card is also not considered as the final proof of citizenship. In some cases, valid civil documents of the parents can also establish the citizenship of the child.

What should you do before SIR

Before this process, you should ensure that you have your birth certificate and residence certificate in the correct order. If these documents are not available then apply for them immediately through the local government office or online portal. It is also advisable that you double check that the details of all your documents such as name, date of birth and address are the same in all the given records.

Also read: Like India, is there SIR in Pakistan too, what documents does the Election Commission ask for there?

In today’s digital era, most of us use online payment, whether to buy some goods...

In today’s digital era, most of us use online payment, whether to buy some goods at the shop, pay bills or send money to someone, everything is now done from mobile and apps. But many times there are also places where only cash runs. In such a situation, we have to go to the bank or ATM. In such a situation, if you do not have a debit card or have been lost, now you can withdraw money from Aadhaar card. Let us know how to withdraw money deposited in the bank from Aadhaar card?

How can we withdraw money from Aadhaar card?

With Aadhaar card, you can withdraw money deposited in the bank with the help of Aadhaar enabled payment system i.e. AEPS. AEPS i.e. Aadhaar enabled payment system is a system that has been introduced by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). Through this, you can withdraw money from the bank by using only your Aadhaar number and fingerprint, you can check, check the balance or also remove a mini statement. In this system you do not need an ATM card, neither need to enter a PIN or OTP nor do you have to face long process. But it is important that your Aadhaar card should be linked to your bank account.

How to withdraw money from Aadhaar?

1. Go to the nearest banking correspondent or micro ATM: This person is sitting in a shop or in a bank’s mini branch, which is also called BC Agent. These people do transactions from portable machines (Micro ATM).

2. Enter your Aadhaar number: Insert your 12 -digit Aadhaar number in the BC Agent machine.

3. Give fingerprint: Put your finger in a fingerprint scanner. This will mix your identity with the Aadhaar database.

4. Select transaction option: Choose a cash withdrawal option.

5. Enter the amount: Enter the amount of money you want to withdraw.

6. Complete transactions: You will get money as soon as you are identified with finger. The SMS of transaction will also come to your registered mobile number.

Necessary things to withdraw money from AEPS

1. Your bank account should be linked to Aadhaar card.

2. Only the account will work which is a link to Aadhaar as a primary account.

3. Transaction requires fingerprint, not OTP or PIN.

4. How many times you can withdraw money in a day, it depends on every bank’s own limit.

5. The RBI has not set any special limit, but most banks allow only up to 50,000 for safety. This limit can also change, so definitely get information from your bank.

Aadhaar will now be mandatory for income certificate in Delhi. Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena...

Aadhaar will now be mandatory for income certificate in Delhi. Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena approved the government’s proposal. This certificate determines the eligibility of financial benefits received under government schemes. The purpose of this step is to prevent rigging and irregularities. Only real and eligible beneficiaries will get the benefit of government schemes. Transparency and accountability will be ensured from the scheme.

What was said in the order?

It has been said in the order that the income certificate determines the eligibility of a person to get financial benefits under government schemes. The Lieutenant Governor has approved the proposal to notify the service of ‘issuing income certificate’ under Section 7 of the Aadhaar Act, 2016.

Under this section, the central or state government can make Aadhaar-based verification mandatory to establish the identity of a person, so that subsidy, profit or service that can be received from the accumulated fund or the accumulated fund of India can be obtained.

According to the order, this proposal, supported by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, states that the income certificate issued by the revenue department of Delhi Government is used to determine the eligibility of the beneficiaries for various schemes and subsidies, such as compensation of tuition fees for Scheduled Caste/Tribe/Other Backward Class students, pension, financial assistance under Delhi Health Fund etc.
For this purpose, it should be made mandatory to submit proof of Aadhaar.

The Revenue Department said that using Aadhaar as a identification document to provide services, benefits or subsidies as the process of service distribution makes it easier and increases transparency. With this, the beneficiaries get the benefit of their rights directly, convenient and uninterrupted.

Apart from this, the need to submit several documents to prove identity from Aadhaar verification also ends. UIDAI, Government of India, through a circular of 25.11.2019, had empowered the state governments to make Aadhaar verification mandatory for the beneficiaries under Section 7 of the Aadhaar Act, 2016, if the schemes were funded from the accumulated funds of the state.

According to the notification, if a person does not have an Aadhaar number and wants to get benefits under the schemes, then he will have to apply for Aadhaar enrollment. If the person/beneficiary is a minor and does not have an Aadhaar number, he can give Aadhaar enrollment identification slip or biometric update identification slip, a birth certificate or school identity card, which has a parent’s name and signed by the school’s principal.

All other beneficiaries (except children), those who do not have an Aadhaar number, can submit a bank or post office passbook, PAN card, passport, farmer photo passbook, or driving license with Aadhaar enrollment identity slip.

The Lieutenant Governor has also advised the Revenue Department that this decision should be widely publicized so that people are aware of the requirements of Aadhaar for these schemes and it should be ensured that no real beneficiary has to be deprived of the benefits received under these schemes.
