Filmmaker Kiran Rao recently underwent surgery for 12 mm diameter appendix. Now on Sunday, Kiran shared photos and videos from the hospital room. He told how his health is now.

Kiran shared the first clip, in which she is showing the view outside from the window of the hospital room. The hospital name tag is visible in one of the photos. His name is written as Kiran Aamir Rao Khan. In one photo she was seen taking a selfie. In the last photo, she was seen eating food sitting on the sofa.

In the caption of this post, she wrote- I was completely ready to party in 2026. That’s when my appendix reminded me to slow down. Take a deep breath and be thankful. I am very grateful to my friends and family, Aamir, Charles and Amin who immediately helped. My other beloved people who mostly came to laugh at my swollen lips. This was an allergic reaction. Sadly, now they have become normal and without glamour.

She further wrote- I have now been discharged and have returned home. Ready to start the new year. 2025 was good for me and I hope 2026 is also full of kindness, fun and love and the AQI is also better. Kiran also thanked the doctor and the hospital team.

Kiran Rao has shared some pictures of the hospital on his Instagram handle. Sometimes she is clicking selfies and sometimes she is seen enjoying her meal. The filmmaker has shared a very funny caption with these pictures. Kiran Rao told that due to allergy his lips have become swollen.

She wrote in the caption, ,I was all set to party in 2026, when my appendix reminded me not to get too excited, take a deep breath and be thankful. Kiran Rao gave his health update through this post. After this, wished that everything remains positive in the next year. Kiran Rao also talked about the poor air quality index in a humorous manner.

Taking her point further in the caption, Kiran wrote that, I am ready to start the new year comfortably. 2025 was good for me and my family and hopefully 2026 will be good, fun and full of love for everyone and AQI will also be better.
