Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir has once again tried to increase tension by making provocative statements against India. Addressing the cadets at Pakistan Military Academy Kalul in Abbottabad, he said that Pakistan will give an unexpected and deadly response to any small provocation by India.

In his speech, Munir said that Pakistan will break the illusion of India’s geographical vastness. He spewed venom against the Indian military leadership and said that they should refrain from making inflammatory statements and all pending disputes should be resolved under UN resolutions and international treaties. Munir claimed that Pakistan can neither be suppressed nor threatened.

Controversial history of Asim Munir

This is not the first time that Asim Munir has given such a statement regarding India. In August 2025, during an event in Tampa, America, he had said that if Pakistan faced an existential crisis, it would drown half the world with itself. He had also said that if India builds a dam on the Indus River, Pakistan will blow it up with 10 missiles. His statements were termed by the international community as nuclear blackmail and irresponsible attitude.

India gave a befitting reply

India had described Asim Munir’s earlier statement as nuclear saber-rattling and said that such threats are a threat to regional stability. Apart from this, the Foreign Ministry spokesperson had said that Pakistan Army has a history of having links with terrorist organizations. In such a situation, the world’s concerns about its nuclear control are natural.
