On Tuesday, the actress posted a picture with her grandmother on Instagram and wrote, “Om Shanti. This is how our pati (my grandmother) wanted her to be remembered. Thank you to all the teachers and students who always respected her. She passed away three days ago.”

Let us tell you, the actress’s grandmother was suffering from ulcerative colitis and diverticulitis for the last few months, for which she was hospitalized. The actress shared a very good bond with her grandmother. She often shared photos and videos with him on social media.

Talking about the actress, she started acting in the year 2008 with the horror film 1920, in which her acting was highly appreciated. I have met 25 girls who have gone through this dreadful phase. This film is a light form of his experience. I was very nervous about watching his film, but thankfully he liked the film very much. After meeting those girls, I felt that it is my responsibility to tell their story.

Ada Sharma further said- ‘If it is shameful to tell the truth, then I have no restraint. I am not ashamed to say that I am against terrorism. Those who are calling it embarrassing, I think he has hurt one of his veins and I do not think that the veins are injured by lies. Ada further said about ‘The Kerala Story’- ‘There is no mention of any political leader or party in it. For me, this is the story of girls who are smuggled, they are brainwashed and are forced to become a terrorist. I am standing with these girls.

Finally, the actress says- ‘If it is political, then it is true. I can’t see it from any other perspective. I have to stand with the truth.

Box office collection of ‘The Kerala Story’
The film ‘The Kerala Story’ released in 2023 was directed by Sudipto Sen. Made in a budget of just 15 crores, this film earned Rs 303.97 crore at the worldwide box office. Actresses like Ada Sharma, Yogita Bihani and Shalini Unnikrishnan were seen in this blockbuster film.

The Kerala Story received two awards at the 71 National Award. Sudipto Sen received the Best Director Award for the film. Apart from this, Prashantanu Mohapatra received the Best Cinematography Award. However, the film’s director Sudipato Sen is not happy.

I wanted my technician’s work to be recognized. When the film is such a big hit even after 2 years of release, which is so much, it is definitely technically good. That is why I wanted an award for the technician. My Dop got but I wanted my writer, makeup artist and my actress Ad Sharma also received the award. But this did not happen. It was a bit sad.

What did you say on receiving the award?

He further said, ‘But finally when you struggle 20-25 years and then you get the top award of the country, it is an honor. I have been living in Mumbai for 25 years. But I did not feel home in Bollywood. I do not bill the genre in which Mumbai film industry makes cinema. I am an outsider here. People know me hardly. But the validation of my audience matters to me.
