Taking leave is the right of every employee in a government job, but when it comes to an IPS officer, both the rules and responsibilities are quite strict. These days, due to repeated leave of an IPS officer in Himachal Pradesh, the discussion has intensified in the administrative circles. After this case, once again the question is being raised that action can be taken against an IPS officer for taking leave for how many consecutive days.

Himachal Pradesh Government has made new temporary posting in the Northern Range of State Vigilance and Anti Corruption Bureau in Dharamshala. Here Brahma Das Bhatia has been given the responsibility as Additional Superintendent of Police. This decision was taken because the IPS officer Aditi Singh posted there was repeatedly going on leave, which was affecting the work.

What was said in the DGP order

Himachal Pradesh Director General of Police Ashok Tiwari clearly wrote in his order that the departmental work has been affected due to IPS officer Aditi Singh repeatedly being on leave. In such a situation, as long as she remains on leave, alternative arrangements have been made in her place, so that the work continues smoothly.

Who is IPS officer Aditi Singh?

Aditi Singh is originally from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. He had secured 679th rank in UPSC exam. Her early education was from Sophia Girls School, Meerut. His father Sanjeev Singh is a doctor by profession, while his mother Jyoti Singh has been a senior assistant in the Collectorate. Aditi Singh is an IPS officer of 2021 batch and is handling important responsibilities in the initial years of her service.

When did you take holidays?

Four days holiday between 1st and 11th January

One day holiday on 12th January

Continuous holiday from 16th to 19th January

Long holiday from 8 February to 22 February

What do the leave rules say for IPS officers?

The rules related to leave of IPS officers have been decided under the All India Services (Leave) Rules, 1955. According to these rules, an IPS officer can take a maximum of 180 days of earned leave at a time.

how long can the holiday last

According to the rules, no IPS officer can be given leave of any kind for more than five consecutive years. If an officer remains absent without permission for more than the stipulated time, it is considered serious.

What happens if you disappear without permission?

If an IPS officer does not return to duty without permission for more than a year even after the expiry of his sanctioned leave, he can be considered to have resigned from service.

Special provisions for women officers

Women IPS officers also get the provision of child care leave. Under this, she can take leave for a total of 730 days i.e. about two years in her entire career. This facility is provided for the care of children, but records of this are also maintained.

UP Politics: Samajwadi Party has expelled three MLAs in Uttar Pradesh from the party. The SP has expelled Manoj Pandey, MLA from Unchahar in Rae Bareli, Rakesh Pratap Singh from Gauriganj in Amethi and Rakesh Pratap Singh (Abhay Singh), MLA from Gosaingz in Ayodhya.

In the context of Manoj Pandey, one of these MLAs, sources claim that he can resign from the legislature in the coming time. If this happens, a new cold war can sprinkle in the Rae Bareli unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Experts believe that there are two groups in BJP in Rae Bareli. One faction is MLA Aditi Singh and the other of Dinesh Singh, Minister in MLC and Yogi government. Both these groups are also clearly visible. In the Lok Sabha elections held in the year 2024, Dinesh Singh contested against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on a BJP ticket. Dinesh had to face defeat in this election.

It is believed that Aditi Singh kept distance from the above election. There is a figure of thirty -six between the two. Both groups are strongly opposed to each other. During the Lok Sabha elections in 2024, when a big rally of the Bharatiya Janata Party took place, there was speculation between Aditi Singh’s departure and not going. However, she reached the last for 10 minutes. Home ministers Amit Shah, Dinesh Singh and Manoj Pandey were also present in this rally.

These questions are arising
Now the questions are arising that when Manoj Pandey will actively interfere in the Rae Bareli unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party, will they get the support of Aditi and Dinesh or not? If sources are to be believed, Manoj Pandey will have to coordinate with both groups to activate himself in the Rae Bareli unit. If this does not happen, then the path of future will not be easy for them. However, its path is not easy.

UP Politics: SP gave great relief to rebels himself! If you do not resign, the legislature will not go, know why?

Talking about the political relationship between Aditi and Manoj, Aditi Singh’s father Late. Akhilesh Singh was accused of killing Manoj Pandey’s brother Rakesh Pandey in which he also went to jail. In such a situation, to say that after Manoj joins BJP, Aditi will improve his political relationships, it is still far -fetched. At the same time, Dinesh and Manoj are different from private and political. If Manoj is unable to coordinate with both groups, then it will be an uncomfortable situation not only for them but also for the BJP.

If there is no political coordination with Manoj’s Aditi and Dinesh, then the apprehension is also being expressed that Manoj will also become a third group in Rae Bareli, which will not be a better situation for BJP anywhere.

Now it will be interesting to see how the BJP high command handles this whole situation and establishes harmony among the leaders.
