Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released important information for private students appearing in the board examination 2026. Admit cards for private candidates of class 10th and 12th have now been made available online. Candidates who had registered under the private category, can download their hall ticket by visiting the official website.

When and how long will the exams be held?

According to the examination schedule released by CBSE, the class 10 and class 12 board examinations will start from 17 February 2026 and continue till 9 April 2026. The examinations will be conducted at designated examination centers across the country. All students have been advised to reach the examination center before the scheduled time.

Why is admit card important?

The board has clarified that admit card is a mandatory document for entry into the examination centre. No candidate will be allowed to sit in the examination hall without a printed copy of the admit card. Only mobile or digital copy will not be valid.

What information will be there in the admit card

Many important information related to the student is given in the CBSE admit card. This includes the name of the candidate, roll number, subject wise exam date, details of theory and practical exam, total marks, passing rules, address of the exam centre, center code and important instructions related to the exam.

What should students do if they find a mistake?

CBSE has advised students to check all the details mentioned on the admit card carefully after downloading it. If any mistake is found in the name, subject, examination center or any other information, immediately contact the concerned regional CBSE office, so that correction can be made in time.

Board’s strict guidelines regarding examination

The board has given instructions to maintain discipline during the examination. Students will have to reach the examination center on time, carry a valid identity card and it will be mandatory to follow all the rules issued by the board. Any kind of carelessness can cause problems in the examination.

CBSE’s warning regarding fake colleges

Recently CBSE has also warned students and parents to be cautious of fake and unrecognized universities. The board has instructed schools to provide proper guidance to senior students and before taking admission in any institute, they must check its affiliation on the official website of UGC.
