Pakistan-Afghanistan War: Air strike has taken place in Paktika province of Afghanistan. This attack was carried out by Pakistan on the late night of 17 October 2025, in which three local cricketers of Afghanistan cricket were killed. Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) is saddened by the death of its players Kabir, Sibgatullah and Haroon. Condemning this attack, ACB has refused to participate in the triangular series played in Pakistan. This series was to be held between Pakistan, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka from 17 to 29 November. Afghanistan cricket team captain Rashid Khan is seen playing in Pakistan Super League (PSL). But after this attack, Rashid Khan has indicated to withdraw from PSL team ‘Lahore Qalandars’. Rashid Khan has removed the name of Lahore Qalandars from his bio on the account of social media platform X.
