After the peace talks held on 6-7 November in Istanbul, Turkey failed once again, the Taliban government of Afghanistan has given a strict warning to Pakistan. Taliban says that if Pakistan ‘tests the tolerance’ of the Afghan government, the situation may reach war.

Peace talks in Istanbul again inconclusive
In the latest talks between Pakistan and Afghan Taliban, it could not be decided whether Afghanistan will take written action against TTP terrorists using its land or not. After this disagreement the talks broke down again.

Taliban minister warned
Afghanistan’s Tribal Affairs Minister Noorullah Noori cautioned Pakistan and said that Pakistan should not test the limits of patience of Afghans. He said, ‘If war breaks out, both the elders and youth of Afghanistan will stand up to fight.’ Noori advised Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif not to trust his technology too much and said that he should look at the condition of America and Russia, who had to face defeat in Afghanistan. He also said that Pakistan’s Sindh and Punjab provinces are “not far away”, and if tensions increase, the situation may worsen.

Pakistan had warned of direct confrontation
Earlier, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif had said that if the Istanbul talks fail, then Pakistan can go into direct conflict with the Taliban government. Taliban government spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said that some groups of Pakistan army are not happy with the strong and stable government in Afghanistan. He said, these groups have always taken advantage of Afghanistan’s instability and crises. Now they want another conflict by making new excuses.

People lost their lives from both sides in the border conflict
Earlier, peace talks between Pakistan and Afghan Taliban started in Istanbul on Thursday, the aim of which was to deal with the issue of cross-border terrorism and to prevent tension between the two sides. There were casualties on both sides in the clash that took place between the soldiers deployed on the border on October 11.

Pakistan claims that at least 206 Afghan Taliban and 110 Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) members were killed in this clash, while 23 Pakistani soldiers were also killed. A ceasefire was agreed upon between the two sides on October 15, which was taken forward during talks held in Doha on October 19 and Istanbul on October 25.

Tension has increased again on the Afghanistan-Pakistan border, where heavy clashes are taking place between Taliban fighters and the Pakistani army. This struggle has gained momentum especially in Spin Boldak area. The fighting between the two sides started around 4 am today and a video of the Spin Boldak-Chaman border crossing has been shared on social media, showing a glimpse of the situation on the border.

Spin Boldak is an important area located on the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan. It is connected via highway to Kandahar in the north and Chaman and Quetta cities of Pakistan in the south. Chaman border crossing towards the west comes in the south-east of the area. The Afghan Taliban claims that within just 15 minutes of the encounter with Pakistani soldiers, the Taliban forced their opponents to surrender and confiscated their weapons. A video also shows that this action was completed within 15 minutes of the start of the fight.

Ali Mohammad Hakmal, information head of Spin Boldak district, said that both light and heavy weapons are being used in this clash. No official number of casualties has been released yet, but according to reports, many houses have been destroyed due to Pakistani artillery shelling and local people have been forced to leave the area.

What did Afghanistan’s National Security Council say?

Kabir Hakmal of the National Security Council of Afghanistan said that there have been fierce clashes in this area between the Taliban and the Pakistani Army. Many houses were destroyed and the Pakistani Army is reportedly using heavy weapons and air power near the Durand Line. No official statement has come from either side yet.

The Afghan army entered the Pakistani border on Saturday (October 11) night and attacked seven different areas with heavy weapons. The Afghan army claims that 12 Pakistani soldiers were killed in this action, while 5 have been detained. They also seized many weapons of the Pakistani Army and took the body of a dead soldier to their camp. In response, Pakistan also gave a strong military response. Heavy firing and conflict continued between the armies of the two countries for about three and a half hours.

Last night, at 9:23 pm Indian time, the Afghanistan Army simultaneously attacked with heavy weapons the Pakistani Army posts located on a total of 7 borders along the 2,670 kilometer long border with Pakistan. This attack was carried out jointly by 210 Khalid bin Walid Brigade and 205 Al Badr Corps of the Afghan Army. Also, in this attack by the Afghan army, more than a dozen posts of Pakistan located on the Afghanistan border were destroyed.

According to the pictures of the attack in Afghanistan obtained by ABP News, the Afghan army also used heavy weapons like artillery and tanks to attack the Pakistani army last night.

Afghan government made a big claim

Not only this, the Afghan government also claimed that during the attack on the Pakistani army yesterday, Afghan soldiers had crossed the Pak-Afghan border up to the Durand Line and according to Mufti Abdullah Azam, head of Afghanistan’s Deputy Prime Minister’s Office, the Afghan army had captured a total of 4 posts of Pakistan in the attack and also captured two Pakistani soldiers alive. Apart from this, the Afghan media claimed that 12 Pakistani soldiers were killed in the attack by the Afghan army and 5 Pakistani soldiers have been detained by the Afghan army. Afghan soldiers took the body of a Pakistani soldier with them in a mini truck to the Afghan army camp.

Pakistani army also retaliated

In the attack by the Afghan army, the Pakistani army also retaliated and released pictures of almost destroying 6 posts of the Afghan army. In retaliation, it also released pictures of artillery firing with the help of its official media. According to the Pakistani media, a total of 3 Pakistani soldiers have died and 5 are injured in the attack by the Afghan army.

The attack, which started at 9:23 pm Indian time, finally stopped at 1 am when the Afghan Defense Ministry announced a ceasefire. The 7 borders on which there was firing between Afghan and Pakistan armies last night.

1) Paktia-Kurram Border
2) Kunar-Bajaur Border
3) Hemland-Baramcha, Balochistan Border
4) Nangarhar-Khyber Border
5) Spin Boldak – Chaman Border
6) Khosht Ghulam Khan-North Waziristan Miranshah Border
7) Paktika-South Waziristan Border

Afghanistan’s Defense Ministry issued a statement

While the Afghan army has described the attack on Pakistan as revenge for the airstrike on the capital Kabul, the Afghan Defense Ministry issued a statement saying that the Afghan army took successful action in response to the repeated violation of the sanctity of Afghanistan by the Pakistani army and air strikes on Afghan land. The Afghan Defense Ministry warned that if the Pakistani army again violates the Afghan airspace, the Afghan armed forces are ready to defend their airspace and will give a strong response.

Afghan soldiers attacked Pakistani soldiers and not only killed them but also captured the weapons of Pakistani army and went back towards the Afghan border. On behalf of Pakistani Home Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the Pakistani Home Ministry last night reacted to the attack by the Afghan Army and said that Afghanistan is playing with fire and blood. Pointing towards India, the Pakistani Home Minister made an absurd claim and said that the threads of the attack by the Afghan Army are connected with our enemy. Afghanistan will also be given a befitting reply like India, so that it does not dare to look at Pakistan with evil eyes.

No official statement has come yet from Pakistani Army

The Pakistani Army has not yet issued any official statement regarding the entire incident, although the Pakistani media, quoting the Pakistani Army, claimed that the Afghan army had carried out the attack and firing to infiltrate Tehreek-e-Taliban terrorists into Pakistan. At present, there is peace on both the borders and Saudi Arabia and Qatar have expressed concern over the firing between the two armies that lasted for more than 3 and a half hours and have appealed to both the countries for peace.

Let us tell you that the relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan have remained tense since last Thursday, when on Thursday night, the Pakistani Army violated the sovereignty of Afghanistan and carried out an airstrike on Kabul and Paktika province, in which an airstrike was carried out on a vehicle and a house in Kabul. Also, the entire civilian market and 35 residential houses of Paktika were demolished by Pakistan in the airstrike and turned into debris. In response to which yesterday, Afghanistan’s Defense Minister Mullah Yaqoob had warned Pakistan that now Pakistan will have to face the consequences of the attacks in Kabul and Paktika.
