In fact, as the conflict between the two countries intensified, Afghanistan’s Ministry of National Defense has claimed that Pakistan Army posts on the border in Kunar and Nangarhar provinces have been destroyed and during this period 14 Pakistani soldiers have also died. While on the other hand, Pakistan has claimed to destroy the alleged terrorist camps and their related infrastructure in Afghanistan.

Chinese Foreign Minister talked about his counterpart in Afghanistan

According to Reuters report, this statement was issued by China’s Foreign Ministry on Friday (March 13, 2026) after a phone conversation between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his Afghan counterpart Amir Khan Muttaki. The statement said that Wang Yi talked to Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaki regarding their ongoing conflict and disputes with Pakistan. During this, he stressed upon them to resolve disputes through dialogue and consultation instead of escalating military conflict.

China ready to become a mediator for peace between the two countries

According to the report, Wang Yi, in his conversation with Muttaki, also talked about playing the role of mediator to establish peace between Pakistan and Afghanistan. The statement said that the Chinese Foreign Minister has appealed to both the countries to talk as soon as possible to end the war, exercise restraint and resolve the disputes. He said that the impact of the ongoing war between Afghanistan and Pakistan will gradually increase in the entire region and the situation will become very complicated.

Clashes broke out again between Pakistan and Afghanistan on Sunday (October 12, 2025). Both countries have blamed each other for worsening the situation. The Taliban government of Afghanistan has claimed that its forces killed a total of 58 Pakistani soldiers in these latest clashes. The clashes between the two countries started when Pakistan recently bombed alleged terrorist hideouts on the outskirts of Kabul.

Pakistan claimed that more than 200 Taliban fighters were killed in this bombing, while 23 of their soldiers died. At the same time, Taliban spokesperson described the clashes on Sunday (October 12, 2025) as an action taken in response to repeated violations of Afghanistan’s border and airspace.

Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is also called Pakistani Taliban. It is a banned terrorist organization and extremist group, which is active in the Afghan-Pakistan border area. This is the same organization which is currently the main cause of violence erupting on the border. Both sides have suffered heavy casualties in this conflict.

Pakistan is making allegations, Afghan minister rejected the allegations

Pakistan has been continuously alleging that the Afghan Taliban is giving shelter to TTP members, who carry out attacks on Pakistani soil. However, Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister Aamir Khan Muttaki, during a press conference during his visit to India on Sunday (October 12, 2025), completely rejected all the allegations of Pakistan. He said that not a single member of TTP is active on the soil of his country.

TTP was formed in 2007

Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was formed in 2007 under the leadership of Betullah Mehsud. The organization was a coalition of several militant groups that operated somewhat independently. The purpose of which was to wage war against the army in the tribal areas of Pakistan. After the death of Betullah Mehsud, this organization is currently being led by Noor Wali Mehsud, who is the Amir of TTP.
