Earthquake tremors were felt on Monday (September 08, 2025) in India’s neighboring country Bhutan, which was measured at 4.2. According to the National Center for Sismology (NCS), the earthquake occurred at only 10 km depth, which leads to the possibility of afterchox. NCS reported that the earthquake came on 8 September 2025 at 11:15 am. Its center was at 26.89 north latitude of Bhutan and 91.71 pre -longitude.

Bhutan’s seismic threat
Bhutan is located in the young ranges of the Himalayas, which makes it seismically sensitive. According to the Indian Sismic Code, Bhutan Zone comes in IV and V, which is the most active seismic region of the country. There are many active fault lines in Bhutan, which poses a risk of large earthquakes.

Earthquake also occurred in China
Earlier on Sunday (September 07, 2025), there was a 4.1 magnitude earthquake in China. This earthquake was also recorded at a depth of 10 km, due to which there is a possibility of afterchock. Explain that low -depth earthquakes often cause more damage than deep earthquakes.

Increase in other natural hazards
In Bhutan, not only earthquakes, but also natural disasters like floods, strong winds, landslides, sudden floods and forest and structural fire are also increasing from the glacier lake. Seasonal changes have intensified due to climate change. The storms in 2011 and 2013 caused heavy damage in rural areas.

The Bhutan government and the local administration have advised people to be vigilant. Rescue operations are being intensified in view of possible afterchox. Experts are also suggesting that earthquake-resistant construction techniques should be adopted and all citizens should stay in safe places.

Turkey earthquake: Balikasir, the western province of Turki, had a powerful earthquake of 6.1 magnitude on Sunday evening. According to the country’s disaster and emergency management agency (AFAD), the shock came at 7:53 pm local time and its depth was measured 11 kilometers. The German Research Center for Geochens (GFZ) recorded its intensity 6.19 and 10 km.

The epicenter of the earthquake was in the Sindirgi region and shocks were felt in many provinces including Istanbul. Minister Ali Yralikaya informed on the social media platform ‘X’ that AFAD teams have immediately engaged in inspection work in Istanbul and nearby provinces and so far no serious damage or loss of loss has been received.

According to AFAD, many afterchoxes came after the earthquake, one of which was 4.6 of the intensity. Officials have advised the citizens not to enter the damaged buildings.

Building collapsed in Sindirgi
According to local media reports and Associated Press, a building has fallen in Sindirgi town, the center of the earthquake. However, no casualties have been officially confirmed so far. The shocks were felt, about 200 kilometers away from Istanbul. The Turkas are located in a geological field active and earthquakes often occur here.

Several earthquake tremors were felt in many parts of Pakistan on Sunday (August 3, 2025). According to Pakistan’s National Sismic Monitoring Center (NSMC), the intensity of this earthquake was measured 5.1. The earthquake was 15 km south-east of Rawat and its depth was just 10 kilometers.

These shocks were felt at 12:10 pm on Saturday-Sunday, due to which people came out of the houses due to fear and all the people kept reading Kalima Tayyaba. The effect of the earthquake was seen in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and many nearby areas. Shocks from Afghanistan to Tajikistan

According to the ‘Ary News’ report, people stayed under the open sky till late night, as they feared afterchox (the earthquake tremors). On Saturday, there was a 5.4 magnitude earthquake, the center of which was in the Hindukush mountainous region of Afghanistan. NSMC reported that the tremors of this earthquake were felt in many parts of Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan.

Earthquake tremors were felt in Peshawar, Swat, Malakand, Naushera, Charsad, Karak, Dir, Mardan, Mohammed, Shangla, Hungu, Swabi, Haripur and Abbottabad on Saturday at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Apart from this, these tremors were also felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Attok, Texila, Murri, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Gujarat, Sheikhupura, Ferozwala and Muridke.

So far there has been no news of loss of life and property from both earthquakes. However, there is an atmosphere of fear among the people and they are cautious with any possible afterchock.
