The war that has been going on between Thailand and Cambodia for the last 20 days has now ended. After this deadly fight that lasted for three weeks, both the countries are now ready for ceasefire. At least 86 people have lost their lives in the war between the two countries. More than 6,50,000 civilians have been displaced in this war. Both countries have signed a joint statement on the border. The ceasefire comes into effect today, Saturday (December 27, 2025) at 12:00 noon local time.

What are the main terms of the agreement?
Among the main conditions of the agreement, both sides will have to stop the use of all types of weapons. This agreement also includes stopping attacks on civilians, civilian objects and infrastructure. Apart from this, it also includes stopping attacks on military targets of any side in all areas. According to the terms of the agreement, no military movement or patrolling will proceed towards the other side’s position.

Thailand will send back 18 Cambodian soldiers
According to the agreement, no additional military forces will be sent along the entire 508-mile border. Apart from this, no provocative action will be taken, including entering the airspace or territory of the other party. Both sides have agreed to avoid spreading false information or fake news to reduce tension. 18 Cambodian soldiers captured during the fighting will be returned after the ceasefire remains in effect for 72 hours.

President Putin was welcomed by the B-2 bomber in the US. Trump played applause as soon as Putin came to the red carpet. Earlier, Trump waited for Putin to reach Alaska for about half an hour.

In the joint press conference, the two leaders did not take questions from journalists. Putin hoped that ‘Kiev and European countries will take it creatively and will not obstruct it.’ He warned that progress should not be interrupted by any ‘provocative or conspiracy behind the curtain’. However, Putin did not indicate the agreement despite several conversation and publicly reprimanding Ukrainian President Volodimir Jailonsky at the White House on 28 February.
