Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) President Alok Kumar has expressed concern over the announcement of the movement against the Waqf Law Amendment by the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB). He said that on October 3, it has been said to keep the shops closed and demonstrate at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Also, AIMPLB has planned to submit a memorandum to the Chief Ministers of the states. Alok Kumar also expressed his opinion on the I Love Mohammad controversy.

Question on movement
Alok Kumar said that this is amazing because AIMPLB and Jamiat themselves were welcomed by AIMPLB and Jamiat. He said that the matter is still under consideration in the court, in such a situation it is a matter of concern to launch the movement in between.

Fear of violence
The VHP president, citing the incidents in recent times, said, ‘Recently there was violence at many places in the country on Mohammad Saheb’s birthday. Since September 5, there are continuous violent incidents. Such movements can increase the danger to social harmony and will promote violence. He said that there is often a possibility of coercion and violence in events like Bharat Bandh.

Appeal to government and society
Alok Kumar said that all organizations should make arrangements to make the movement peacefully. He also urged the central and state governments to prepare to deal with all kinds of situation and take precautions from now. He also called upon the society not to depend only on the government. He said, ‘Constitution and law give the right to self -defense in the event of an attack. Hindu society should be cautious and should cooperate in stopping any wrong incident with constitutionally with agencies.

Statement on religious posters
The VHP president said that if people of Islam in any religious program put up posters of ‘I Love Muhammad’, then there is no objection in it. But if objectionable statements are made on the pretext of such posters or a ruckus is made, then it is not right. He said on ‘I Love Mahadev’ that these slogans are not in response to ‘I Love Muhammad’. ‘I think this is not being done in his response,’ he said.

Reacting to the statement of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Alok Kumar said, ‘Hindu cannot be extreme. The Hindu prays for the earth, vegetation and everyone, it cannot be violent. But an attempt is being made to show the Hindu violent. Now the situation of Hindu phobia has arisen.

AIMPLB appealed to Muslims across the country
AIMPLB appealed to all the Muslims across the country that they should go to the right hand by tying a black band on the right hand while offering prayers in protest against the Waqf Amendment Bill 2024. AIMPLB general secretary Maulana Mohammad Fazalur Rahim Mujdidi, while releasing a video on the X handle of the Waqf Board, requested all the Muslims to do so.

AIMPLB, while sharing a letter related to it on its social media platform X, wrote that, ‘It is the responsibility of every Muslim to oppose the Waqf Amendment Bill Bill. The board appeals to all Muslims to go to the mosque for the prayer of Jumatul Vida and tie a black band on the right hand and register a protest in a peaceful manner.

Waqf amendment bill 2024: The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has appealed to Muslims across the country to tie a black band on the last Friday of Ramadan in protest against the Waqf Amendment Bill 2024.

Sharing a letter on the social media platform ‘X’, AIMPLB said, ‘Strict protests by Muslims at Jantar Mantar in Delhi and Patna have created restlessness in at least BJP allies. Now on March 29, there is going to be a massive protest in Vijayawada.

AIMPLB wrote, ‘The Waqf Amendment Bill 2025 is a conspiracy that aims to deprive Muslims of their mosques, Idgahs, Madrasas, Dargahs, Khankahs and cemeteries. Efforts are being made to snatch all this from us. Therefore, it is the responsibility of every Muslim of the country to strongly oppose this bill. The All India Muslim Personal Law Board appeals to all Muslims to tie a black bandage in the hands as a silent and peaceful expression of protest while coming to the mosque on Jumatul Vida.

Proposal in Tamil Nadu Assembly against Waqf Amendment Bill
Meanwhile, a resolution has been passed against the Waqf (Amendment) Bill 2024 in the Tamil Nadu Assembly. This proposal was introduced by CM MK Stalin himself. In the Assembly, CM Stalin said that the Waqf Amendment Bill is against Muslims. This bill will destroy the rights of Muslims. The central government never thought about the welfare of Muslims and their rights. Therefore, we are passing a resolution against it.

What is the Waqf Amendment Bill?
The Waqf Board formed to regulate Waqf properties still works under the Waqf Act of 1995. It has been criticized for issues like its mismanagement, corruption and encroachment for a long time. The Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024 aims to solve the major challenges by presenting legal reforms to free digitization, better audit, better transparency and illegal occupied assets.

Waqf amendment bill protest: Muslim organizations have started protesting against the Waqf Amendment Bill. Patna A large number of Muslim organizations in Gurdnibagh united on Wednesday (March 26, 2025). There are more than eight such organizations including the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) in this dharna. Muslim leaders have also arrived from different states.

Waqf amendment bill 2024: The Central Government has called a meeting of all MPs on Wednesday (26 March 2025) before bringing the Waqf Amendment Bill in Parliament, in which the issue will be discussed in detail. In the coordination room number 5 of Parliament, all MPs have been informed on the Waqf Bill from 9.30 am to 10.30 am. Many opposition parties, including the Congress, are attacked by the BJP government at the Center for the Waqf Amendment Bill.

Demonstrations on Waqf Amendment Bill

Demonstrations are also being organized against the central government in many parts of the country regarding the Waqf Amendment Bill. Many organizations including Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind are calling it anti-Muslim. The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has spoken about a sit -in demonstration in several states against the Waqf Bill Amendment Bill 2024. AIMPLB said that under its first phase, there will be a demonstration in front of the assemblies in Patna on March 26 and Vijayawada on March 29.

According to AIMPLB, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, including Janata Dal United (JDU), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) have been invited to protest in Patna. AIMPLB has sent an invitation to the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP), YSR Congress, Congress and Left parties to join the dharna in Andhra Pradesh for demonstration against the Waqf Amendment Bill.

The Joint Committee of Parliament has submitted its report on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill. The 31 -member committee on the bill suggested several amendments in the proposed law after several meetings and hearing, while opposition members disagreed with the report. The report of about 655 pages on this bill was submitted to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on 31 January 2025. The Joint Committee accepted the reports suggested by BJP MPs by 15–11 majority.
