Shaista Amber on Waqf Bill 2024: The Waqf (Amendment) Bill, passed by both houses of Parliament, has received the support of All India Muslim Women Personal Law Board. In Lucknow, the chairman of the board, Shaista Amber, has given positive response to this bill. He said that the work done by today’s government should have done the earlier governments and religious leaders.

In a conversation with the news agency ANI, Shaista Amber said, “The steps that the today’s government has taken the same work should have been done by the earlier governments and religious leaders. Those who donate in the Waqf, they wish that money or land was used for the poor, but this was not happening.” He also said that all Waqf properties were not misused, but the Waqf Board did not do its work honestly. Now that this bill has arrived, the government is expected to use Waqf’s properties in the interest of the poor and with transparency.

Shaista Amber made this demand from the government

Shaista Amber said, “So far no government has worked with true heart for Muslims, only vote politics was done. We appeal to the BJP government to give Muslim women their rights and make the working style of Waqf Board transparent.” He further said, “The government should rescue the Waqf lands, to be rescued, the matter should be investigated and action should be taken on the culprits. Let us know that many leaders are against it after the Waqf Amendment Bill passed both houses and they are constantly attacking the government. The matter has also reached the Supreme Court and a petition has been filed in the court against this bill.
