What did the Ministry of Defense say

A statement issued by the Ministry of Defense said that the Indian armed forces launched ‘Operation Sindoor’, targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Jammu and Kashmir, from where terrorist attacks were planned against India. Overall, nine (9) sites have been targeted.

The statement further said- our action was focused, stable and avoided. No Pakistani military bases have been targeted. India has shown a lot of restraint in the selection of bases and destroying them.

According to the statement, these steps have been taken in view of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in which 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen were killed.
